Bjarki closes an epic year of releases on трип with a genre defying 12” harking back to the misty days of rave and acid house. The frenetic ‘Fresh Jive’ features Bjarki’s trademark ethereal pads, metallic percussion and a resonant bass melody to create the perfect dancefloor ear worm. ‘Genat 8’ broods as it builds with vocal snips and jittery percussion, heavy bass and moody soundscapes. It’s an essential vinyl cut that will further define the Icelandic artists unique reworking of classic dancefloor elements into his own signature sound.

We here at Man Recordings are extremely happy to present the hot new release by Canadian-Moçambican singer @Samitotv. "I Saw You" is a trans world Afro house and electro inspired club tune about a lost love.

Samito is a singer-songwriter, producer and performer whose distinct blend of electro, afro and indie vibes bear the marks of the three cities he has lived in: Maputo, Cape Town and Montréal. In 2016 Samito made his first mark with his hit “Tiku La Hina” on Costume Records. This record was streamed and played around the world propelling him into the global club scene and countless live stages. 2016 also saw the release of “Cem Cem (feat. Mabika & Muneshine)” on French fashion + music Label Kitsuné. To put it short, Samito is out to roll!

"I Saw You" features the big voice of the mighty Mabika, a Geneva native, now based in Montréal too, keeping it 100. This renaissance-man is a performer, recording and VFX artist. Mabika formerly has collaborated with Christian Pronovost as well with Samito on various occasions. For "I Saw You", Mabika contributes a super vocal spit in Lingala, a language common in the area of Congo.

The original version received three international remix treatments. The Afro house version comes from Man Recordings´own Daniel Haaksman, sizzling hot new London producer Mina (of Enchufada fame) remixed "I Saw You" into a Naija-pop inspired version. And finally Nairobi´s Jinku, one of the leaders of the East African Wave posse who´s currently putting the new sound of Kenya on the international map.

Play it out, and make everybody dance to the sound of Samito!

"We Are What You Think We Are" is the tenth dispatch from the crew here at Lost Soul Enterprises, New York City, USA. This compilation features a whopping 15 artists who together represent all corners of the label's extended family, with frequent local collaborators paired with past guests of our various parties. It is served with love from us to you on 3 slabs of vinyl released in 3 installments.
  Each installment charts a different component of our sound: 10.1 highlights the influences of synthwave and postpunk electronics, 10.2 is comprised of razor-sharp acid and overdriven electro, and 10.3 delves into darker shades of industrial techno. Together, all of these elements loosely sketch our little corner of the sonic universe. With this humble offering we tried to capture and share with you a little sliver of what we've found together in hazy rooms full of flashing lights and strange sounds.
