"This compilation came together as a solidarity effort between the eastbloc sound community and their international loose network of friends, allies and collaborators.

The artwork for this compilation is an homage to Maria Prymachenko. On February 27, 2022, during the Battle of Ivankiv an approximated 10-25 original works of Prymachenko were destroyed in the Ivankiv Historical and Local History Museum. To express our solidarity, the artwork depicts the creature from Prymachenko's 1978 painting: "May That Nuclear War Be Cursed!"."

Following guest spots on compilations by Classical Trax and BAS, Warsaw-based Ku Ku delivers his most ambitious work to date.
Starting its life as a full-length album the "ESC" EP features 4 tracks and 3 remixes assembled from hours of material reshaped and condensed into a cohesive whole.
"Esc is the key I use when trying to "get out" and that is what I tried to do here. I made this EP during a time in my life when I was in a boring job feeling nothing interesting is happening. I wanted to create the most happy sounding japanese techno influenced music I could - to create an escape for myself. It's fake and kitschy in that way but at the same time honest because that escape was a genuine need of mine."
Our choice was "Pathotronic" which slows down the tempo of the release with its FSOL inspired big beat throwback.
