Dear SEGA, I hear that legal troubles regarding Sonic 3's original soundtrack might be part of what's holding you back from a re-release of Sonic 3 ( www.sonic3remastered.com/ More info here)
I suggest an alternative solution to trying to get the rights to use the songs that are currently providing a roadblock in greenlighting the project.

Hey everyone! My name's MiDO, And I'm a remix artist like everyone else on Sound Test. I've done a few Sonic remixes on my music channel and own personal soundcloud, but this is a Sound Test exclusive-- Quartz Quadrant Catastrophic Mix! A remix of the Japanese version of the BGM for Quartz Quadrant Bad Future from Sonic CD! I completely re-made the "Ooh, we're gonna rock this place!" sample using a "ooh/woo" sound that was used in Mania's Stardust Speedway ACT 2 BGM.  Fun fact: The guy saying "we're gonna rock this place" is actually from KISS, and the sample came from a KISS concert!

Chroma is an HD 2D Sonic fan-game based entirely around trying to jam as many new, experimental, and creative elements into one Sonic game as we can while keeping it as fun as possible. New elements you may see in gameplay include ideas that may be normally considered "taboo" for Sonic games, ideas that you may have never even heard or thought of, or ideas that you may have already thought of and dreamed to see in a Sonic game one day whether it's official or fanmade.

The people behind this project (that's us!!!) are a team of earnest, mostly college-faring people from all over the world who decided to get together to create, just like how every other team has aimed for, what we feel is the most fantastic and from-the-heart Sonic experience as we can.

What sets Chroma apart from the rest is that our goal is to combine a whole buffet of fresh or otherwise unseen ideas with the classic Sonic formula to carefully craft and bring you an HD hybrid game. Why only let you play unique levels, give you new art to gawk at and new music to listen to, when we could also give you an entirely unseen gameplay experience on top of all that? It's the logical next step, and we're proud of working to see it realized.

I wanted a full on creepy and eerie vibe for this track since the setting of this ACT as the zone name may suggest it’s supposed to be very Halloween related, while still trying to offer something that you wouldn’t usually hear on a Sonic OST but being catchy nonetheless.
