It's about the underground mine in Ibbenbüren (Münsterland). It closed in 2018. Just short before a was allowed to go in the deepest shaft of Europe.

Zeche Ibbenbueren

The artist Sibylle Hauert created an interactive soundwalk. We walk with headphones through the city. A headtracker tracks our movements. Virtual sounds are played, while I walk beside the Rhine. It's about, what we hear and how our brain works with that, what we hear.

The Reportage is about the history of the gasholder in Oberhausen, built in 1929. When the mines around the gasholder were closed in the 1980th, there was no use anymore for this huge tin. Now the Gasometer Oberhausen the biggest exhibition hall in Europe. The head of the Gasometer GmbH Jeanette Schmitz walked with me from bottom until the roof.

In the AWO building in Mönchengladbach Rheydt Luisa Piewak introduced kids into creating sounds with app music. The boys and girls used tablets as instruments.

2211 TONART App Musik Workshop

The protestant church "Friedenskirche" stands in Monheim Baumberg, an area with single family houses and front gardens. The Church is a komplex of mountains, outside. Inside it's like a cave. The building of Walter Maria Förderer is a special piece of brutalism. I spoke with the art historian Thorsten Scheer, the Pastor Malte Würzbach and the sexton Frank Langrock. You hear as well a bit of the Regensburger Domspatzen.

Church of Béton Brut

Street protests are back. People are demonstrating for various causes. Some are against the right, others against climate change. Peace alliances are calling for Never again is now. Some are holding up placards against genocide in Gaza. Pure demonization of Israel. Without me! The demonstrators are anything but a collective. Rather an explosive mixture of criticism and rioting. I swims quietly against the current and collects moods.
