Suzanne Alvim wanted to make her first cover in our amateur home studio, so she chose this magnificent song by Moby, with Skylar Grey (you can listen to the original here: https://soundcloud.com/moby/the-last-day).

I wanted to keep some key elements of the original version (such as the drums), I created a softer, more electronic ambiance. The vocals kept the delicate, innocent atmosphere of the original version, but received stronger effects. At the same time, the harmony gained a darker color and deeper bass sounds, intended to convey a dreamy feeling.

I think of music as a piece of sculpture. Every single timbre, note, melody and chord should be carefully planned and molded to reach the desired form and contour.

Music is something intrinsically human, which goes beyond country borders or preconceived models. All genres – from classical to trip hop to EDM – are acceptable. The only requirement is that the instruments – be them real, digitally produced or sampled – should always convey some kind of emotion and soulfulness.

I love to work with singers who give their personal feelings to the songs. My aim is to produce songs that are light, thoughtful, sometimes a little sad or sensual, but always pleasant to listen.
