Claus Bachor plays 2 Years Of PSYCHO THRILL Bunker Alarm_Prt2

At the NYE 2013/14 power hour with 100% vinyl at a meanwhile famous WWII spot somewhere in Cologne. Done here in a 4:14 take of a 6 hour "Psycho Thrill phuture classic"/ b2b-set by Cologne's Techno pioneers CLAUS BACHOR and ROLAND CASPER, with reference to the BALLHAUS/ 42dp/ KIT CLUB / ARTHEATER/ SENSOR periods as well as the 2011/16 "BNKR ALRM" presence ( ... light human mix errors included cause we're definitely no mix-robots). That mixwerk finally live recorded and mastered by our label-mate Andreas Eller.

The Psycho Thrill Cologne founder spinnin' his typical business as usual in a seriously bangin' 100% vinyl, multy-style Techno-hybrid set at the remarkable "24 years Psycho Thrill 3.0 / 4 years of BNKR ALRM" double anniversary nite somewhere in Cologne (people who know ... they really know!) on dec. 12th 2015 _ 3:30 - 6:24 am, alongside his hometown artist/DJ companions Andreas Gehm, Roland Casper, David Langer, Miran Nolden, Manuel Stickdorn, Vincent Grabowski and Thomas Fierke.

This mix is dedicated to BOB MONTAGUE, who has passed away peacefully after a long illness in the morning of dec 13th. Also well known under his nickname Punjabi Bill, the famous creator of Cologne's "Ifficial Art / BNKR Project", has been one of PSYCHO THRILL Cologne's best friends and one of his biggest supporters and wise mentors of the last 25 years. He's still gone now but will never be forgotten.  R.I.P. / Thank U and Chapeau BOB !!

Psycho Thrill Cologne founder CLAUS BACHOR spinnin’ and cuttin’ the final chapter of the famous BNKR ALRM spot somewhere in Cologne (4:30-7:00 am) in an emotional as seriously bangin’ 100% vinyl, cut-up 90s Rave-Techno-set, enriched with an abundance of so called true “Psycho Thrill Cologne” Techno Classics and combined with essential and contemporary upfront soundz as well. That rave went like all those legendary “bnkr alrm” nites before, where the sweat always dropped from the ceiling while people started to dance their asses off like hell. Luv-n-respect goes first to the whole awesometastic BNKR family (crowd and crew) through all those adventurous years and also to all the other involved DJ companions of that nite like Johannes Volk, Roland Casper, David Langer, Anabasine, Thorsten Hoffmann, Kavaro, Blint, Neitscho Miran Nolden and Stickdorn.

When TECHNO used to be fast, funky and fantastic! This first excerpt from a multi-hour set recording from January 5, 2003, in which Claus Bachor and his "long-time partner" Roland Casper played for the Munich party crew "Tanzdiebe" one of the last parties in the former club legend of the Bavarian State capital to be played at all in that year. 

Both are still cited today with the following words: "The club was packed as usual. Sweat dripped from the ceilings everywhere, while the incredible bass in the club constantly drove the party crowd to more and more top dance action until the early hours of the next day and kept on being screamed out on the dance floor. The end of ULTRASCHALL II (same to be mentioned for ULTRASCHALL I), like so many nights we had played there before, was simply unforgettable. Just said 'Gone one day, but never forgotten!'"

More facts about ULTRASCHALL I & II: In the history of germany's night clubbing there are a few spaces that are probably held in higher regard than Ultraschall. Munich's gone but not forgotten famous ULTRASCHALL (june 17.1994 - january 31.2003) used to be the Southern German metropolitan’s wildest and most open-minded venue for techno and other game forms of electronic music like House, Future Minimal and IDM. It finally became one of a few real German techno club legends till today. The driving force(s) behind all used to be Peter Wacher (Disko B records) also known as DJ Upstart, Captain Reality and David Süß, where the whole world league of Techno and House DJs used to play at this club.

PSYCHO THRILL Cologne-founder CLAUS BACHOR is one of the German long-term House and Techno DJs at all, and as friends in Detroit say "he's been doing this as long as anybody else that we know! His sets can range from classic Disco & old school House classics all the way to the darkest, bangin' techno that you've ever heard!" However, he's not standing still yet: The Psycho Thrill club and vinyl label run by him has just turned 25 and Bachor is still doing bookings all over Europe, the United States and beyond. 

His long-term affiliations with Detroit techno music and also his journalistic involvement with the topic of Detroit Techno/ Electro/ Chicago-House as an author/editor over the years has made him a world renowned expert. This experience and vast knowledge of the techno genre has led him to appearing in many documentaries, the most noteable being 'High Tech Soul' [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddh88l_57Bk ] which focused on the creation of Detroit techno music. DAVE LANGER aka DAVE DU MONTE got into his first contacts with electronic music during the mid of the 80’s by synthie-pop bands like Depeche Mode or Front 242 and also Kraftwerk. At this time, Techno and House were still completely unknown words for him, but it finally changed all for him at the end of the 80’s when Dave heard from the first Chicago and UK Acid House heroes like Adonis and Baby Ford. His interest in Techno and House devoloped more and more in 1991 due listening to diverse Berlin radio shows, club experiences like TRESOR and - since 1993 - E-WERK, that lead him to serious record collecting in the following. 

Subsequently his DJ career started in 1994 in the German Eastside in Rostock, where he also begun his studies in construction industries. He got his first bookings in leading Clubs of Germany’s North-East like MS STUBNITZ and MAU (HRO) together with the Berlin DJ-nomenclatura. This contacts brought him back to the Spree capitol, where one of the TRESOR HEADQUARTER DJs invited him to TRESOR’S “Headquarter / New Faces” event nights on regular Wednesdays. So he quickly developed a certain love for a style that was ranging between heavily grooving an minimal styles, also based on the deeper shades of Detroit’s Techno blueprint and the hard and funky Chicago stuff as well. From 1998 on he became a regular player at the “Headquarter/ New Faces” nights at the Tresor basement. From 2001 till the end of the 1st Tresor phasis in early 2003 people could often hear him under his alias DAVE DuMONTE at the legendary OSTGUT CLUB parties and the HEILIGENDAMM Area. At that place a DJ and booker from Zürich (CH) took notice of Dave and invited him to the famous SPIDERGALAXY club in Zürich, where DJs used to play long running of 8 hours minimum.
