Louis Sterling is music composer and post-production sound engineer based between Bristol and London. He works across the music, film and television industries. 

A member of the British Music Collection and the Black Artists Database, Sterling began his career at the age of seven, where he was trained as a chorister under Dr. Peter King of Bath Abbey. Upon leaving school, his music gained substantial recognition from BBC Music and the Canadian record label URBNET. In 2018, his debut album served as the inaugural release for 99Chants, a contemporary record label spearheaded by visionary Italo-German composer David August.

Sterling’s debut album, Adisceda, was deemed by music giant Rough Trade Records as "Outstanding," while Headphone Commute described it as a "modern-classical meets electronic marvel." The album was mastered at Black Knoll Studios in New York by Rafael Anton Irisarri before making its way into vinyl collections across the UK, US, and Europe. Eventually, it caught the attention of Venetian composer Gigi Masin, who invited Louis to perform the opening shows for his Vahiné album tour on stages across the UK in March 2023.

Since 2016, Sterling's forward-thinking approach to music has been recognized by BBC 6 Music, as well as accolades like the 2015 'Best Act of BBC Music Introducing in the West' broadcast and the 2020 Composer's Award from Sound and Music UK. His performances at Omeara, London Bridge, and the Liverpool Philharmonic Music Hall have further solidified his reputation as a respected talent in contemporary music.

Beyond the facets of composition, Sterling has assisted production for Channel 4’s core team, Branded Entertainment, curated radio shows for  BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast Show with Greg James, and supported Warner Bros’ post-production sound studio De Lane Lea in Soho, marking his robust network across the music and entertainment industries. 

In October 2024, his score for BOUND– a short-film directed by Abigail Feaveres, Channel 4) was selected for the Cannes Indie Shorts Award. He is currently working on his second full-length album.

Residing in Liverpool for over a decade, Irish producer SertOne is a versatile artist whose back catalogue of original and remix work extends across the genres of bass, rap and all things beats. 

An outsiders perspective and recognition of sound system culture forged a sound which gained support from XLR8R, BBC Radio, NTS, Rinse FM and led to releases on BBE Music, Carpark Records, Mishka Records, as well as remixes for Young Magic, Dan Croll, Lewis James, Paper Tiger & more. Originally demonstrating elements of juke & jungle on his side-project, CL Moons in 2013, these rhythms have influenced the characteristic SertOne tracks of big bass, clever drum workouts and ethereal synths. 

SertOne heads up the Fly High Society. The collective is a musical community of like-minded producers, DJs, and artists that extends across the UK and Europe. Fly High Society is a multi-faceted movement that encompasses throwing parties, releasing records, and transmitting via ‘Fly High Radio’.
