Ever wondered what it would sound like if Tipper and Figure collab'd on a drum & bass tune? If you're like us, you probably have. You have a lot of time on your hand, and you spend most of it dreaming up these impossible joints that will never happen in a million years. But that's fine, because we've got Steve Primo to do the imagining for us.

The new ArkiteQt track, "13k Hours" is a glitch-hop and drum & bass collision that sends us hurtling into the psychedelic stratosphere. Malcolm Gladwell theorized it takes about 10,000 hours to master something, so if Primo's at the 13k mark, we're not surprised by the level of skill involved in the production of this schizophrenic track, that throws all the rules out the window, save one: dance motherfuckers. Primo's new label ArkiteQt Records is live, and this one is your free ticket inside.

Whether it's "Guided Light" turning on Cameo & Trevor Nelson or "Do Anything You Wanna" featuring in playlists of DJs as varied as Groove Armada, Gorgon City and 1Xtra's Sarah Jane Crawford, Glasgow's latest production stars have built a reputation for delivering cuts that sound perfect in the club and on the airwaves. "Need Me" is their latest single and their song that is most likely to unite all their varying supporters. It features the kind of killer vocals and gorgeous, heart-warming pianos that make an effortless radio record and mix it with the type of bassline that will have the househeads putting it in the folder marked "weapons". 

For those looking for something a bit darker there is the mean, brooding Schatrax meets Murk style vocal groove of "Never Enough". Remixes come from Brett Gould and Newbie Nerdz. Brett takes "Need Me" and ups the garage factor with some razor-sharp beats and one of his brilliant, bouncy basslines. The Nerdz take "Never Enough" into deeper, Madtech territory with a heavy beats and a booming tonal bottom end.

Returning for our first release of 2015, we proudly to welcome Gamma back to Dispatch for his first Dispatch EP as a solo artist.

Having previously released on the label as part of the Spinline trio, Gamma brought the incredible “If U Go Away” to our Transit 2 compilation album and we knew it was only a matter of time before he would be back for a full release.

Taking us into the New Year, the Zion EP is comprised of five tracks that delve deep into the senses, remaining pensive, yet always hard hitting.

Title track ‘Zion’ sets the scene dramatically, with half time beats shuffling over subterranean low ends. Collaborating with Dispatch favourite Hydro, ‘3 Dayz’ follows on, raising the energy levels with suave overlapping bass grooves.

‘Streetheadz’ comes next, a percussive assault on the dancefloor, with strong support so far. ‘Midnight Heat’ contrasts the elements expertly, with sultry pads and soft vocals met by dark, growling mids and sharp stepping drum work.

‘Empathy Control’ closes the EP with a slice of pure robotic funk, with a refined bassline cutting below jittering mechanic entities. Key support on this release comes from the likes of Toddla T (on BBC Radio 1), Icicle, Kasra, DLR & Safire.

The Untouchables and Resound join forces for a soundclash of gargantuan proportions on the Separate Reality EP. Known for their heavyweight tribal sound, the trio jump into action with title-track Separate Reality, a maelstrom of thumping kicks, distorted bass, and swirling atmospherics. Switching into more experimental territory, Mystic Arts is a hypnotic concoction of stumbling drums, flanged-bass, and eerie dubwise reverberations. 

On the flip, The Untouchables resume the journey with Devourer of World, the sonic-equivalent of a black hole, ravenously consuming everything in its path with sub bass from deep space. The Beast is a behemoth of a track, opening with a subtle percussive rattle that drops with the force of a magnitude 10.0 earthquake to bring things to a close.
