East Coast is a playful love song and a tribute to the vibrant immigrant community that is Buford Hwy. Growing up in the suburbs of Georgia there wasn't a lot of diversity so trips to Buford Hwy as a kid stand out to me as a connection point to my culture and heritage. Currently there's a lot of attention on those communities not only as major contributors to the culture and fabric of Atlanta but also as the target of ICE raids. I wanted this song to be part of the celebration of Buford Highway.
