Havin' crossed paths many times over the years, in clubs and at festivals, and mutually admired each other's destructive potential in the dance, D Double E, and The Bug had spoken for time, about a killer collab, and 'Box' is  truly that. 
Written specifically for Double, by the Bugman, to amplify the mc's warp factor flow, the producer propels his trademark weight with an off kilter swing. Result is an unusually catchy dancefloor banger, that heads resolutely back to the club, after the moody narrative detours of 'Angels & Devils'.

Meanwhile, 'Iceman' has already been heralded as the new "Skeng', by the many djs who have already dropped it on dubplate. From Mala, to Mary Ann Hobbs, via Rodigan, Logan Sama and Kode 9, its already left massive floor craters prior to release.  Its the sound of yardie badman Riko gettin low down and dirty on a seriously nasty Bug riddim. A monster.
Having finally hooked up with two of the most singular voices in grime, this EP marks the beginning of more lethal collabs to follow, with the finest filthmasters, the UK has to offer on the mic. 'Box/Iceman' signifies The Bug's intent to indelibly mash up the dance again and again.

Way back in 2000, a year after Fabric opened its doors for the first time i went there as a full on younger and it literally changed my life for many reasons, the inspiration i had from that moment to excel as a DJ in the music industry was super immense, one of my main DJ goals was to one day get a chance to play @ Fabric, and after many, many years of attending some groundbreaking events, seeing literally near enough all of my serious music associates progress from nothing to end up playing at Fabric, i finally got a chance to play there in April 2010 after being booked by my idols,music associates and Ghost Records Head Honcho's El-B & Ja Da Flex - Fabric was no doubt the one of the 2 clubs in the UK(alongside Ministry Of Sound) that everyone wanted to play at, they was by far the most influential club of the modern times and had a massive part to play in the rise of a few UK genre's which other clubs didn't care about(Grime & Dubstep) - Not many people know this or even remember this but the pioneering and the now legendary event Forward>>[FWD>>] which single handedly pioneered the Dubstep movement in the early 00's, the first ever FWD>> was actually was at Fabric way back in 2001, yes,even just before Velvet Rooms! So to me, this club Fabric means the world to me as it had such an impact on my life and many of my friends - I am very honored and humbled to have had the chance to play there a few times and i am absolutely gutted that the system has decided to revoke its licence for something that was completely out of their hands, the underground music world will be very lost without it but i have a feeling a fight will stand! Thanks to Tom McCarthy & Shaun Roberts - Fabric/FabricLive by far the BEST club/promotion to give incredible artist hospitality on all the occasions i played there, they knew how to treat their artists and make the know their worth, and their engineers always had the best attitudes - This is my set from Friday 16th April 2010 @ FabricLive with a 90 minute set making my long awaited debut at the now defunct Fabric #RIPFabric, will cherish all my memories as a raver and DJ forever.x
