Inspired by the first mixing programs on the Dutch radio, Clement Van Dijk started mixing in the early 80’s. Being the music obsessive that he is, it didn’t take him very long to find a local club (Display) to showcase his skills. After doing so for a couple of years the promoters of Arnhems hottest dance club; Luxor, offered him a monthly residency on the Stargate party's. This gave Clay the opportunity to play alongside almost every well-known deejay in Holland, and in countries like, Mexico, Germany, England, Greece and others...

This quietly-spoken DJ from Amsterdam has always understood what made people dance, but never compromised his vision of what good music should be like. By continuously following his favourite waxmasters, like John Digweed, Sasha, Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo, he developed his love for progressive house music. And now as a big fan of producers like, Guy J, Stas drive, Marcelo Vasami, Matias Chilano, Matter, GMJ and many more....

His style reaches from proggy house with some of the most beautiful strings and vocals you are likely to hear unto deep and dark progressive. Clay van Dijk is a progressive DJ/producer who works in collaboration with a wide variety of top producers from all over the world. He combines deep house, progressive and melodic techno into a hypnotic and intense DJ set. His speciality is creating an atmosphere wherein the audience will be taken to a different musical level. He will take you on a rare, extraordinary and psychedelic musical trip in to the deep space of the progressive underground.
The producers he works with, like Luke Santos, George Yammine, CJ Peeton, and Paul Deep & Martin Gardoqui also share their music with other notorious DJ’s like Hernan Cataneo, John Digweed, Guy J and so on.

This year I was talking with her and we spoke about her first release 'Circadian' that came out in April 2024 on Late Night Music, and her goals in life. Leah Marie (Late Night Music) is a DJ/producer from Melbourne Australia currently based in Berlin. Leah first jumped behind the decks in 2019 and has since become a key player in Australia's progressive & melodic house scene. She plays regularly at Melbourne's most iconic venues; festivals/events in Australia, Germany and beyond. Her passions lie with the deeper sides of underground house & techno, which connect with the mind, body and soul.

It is a great honor to have Donny Carr as my guest. His records always touch my soul, so it was time to invite this great producer to Connecting Souls.

Donny Carr is a DJ and producer. He was born in Sacramento, California, but eventually relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah. Today, he is one of SLC’s leading dance music scene performers, and has often had the chance to perform with the best local and international acts.

Donny Carr’s musical journey started out early on. He played the Saxophone for nearly 15 years, but quickly became inspired by the immense creative potential of electronic music production and DJing. When listening to his records and witnessing his live shows, it’s obvious that passion is a key element in Donny’s life. He puts a lot of effort into creating memorable experiences for his audience, whether listening at home or living it up in a venue!

Donny has a unique attitude and a broad creative scope. His genre-defying sound blurs the lines between classic house, tech, deep, prog, and more. It is all about combining great production aesthetics with exciting creative ideas. Donny’s tracks often feature tight grooves, deep bass and lush melodies, setting the bar higher with every release and refusing to get boxed into various categories.

Connecting Souls 046 on Proton Radio

Inspired by the first mixing programs on the Dutch radio, Clement van Dijk started mixing in the early 80’s. Being the music obsessive that he is, it didn’t take him very long to find a local club (Display) to showcase his skills. After doing so for a couple of years the promoters of Arnhems hottest dance club; Luxor, offered him a monthly residency on the Stargate party's. This gave Clay the opportunity to play alongside almost every well-known deejay in Holland, and in countries like, Hungary, Mexico, Germany, England, Greece and others... 

This quietly-spoken DJ from Amsterdam has always understood what made people dance, but never compromised his vision of what good music should be like. By continuously following his favorite waxmasters, like John Digweed, Sasha, Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo, he developed his love for progressive house music. And now as a big fan of producers like, Guy J, Alex O'Rion, Marcelo Vasami, Matias Chilano, Matter, GMJ and many more....

His style reaches from proggy house with some of the most beautiful strings and vocals you are likely to hear unto deep and dark progressive. He combines deep house, progressive and melodic techno into a hypnotic and intense DJ set. His specialty is creating an atmosphere wherein the audience will be taken to a different musical level. He will take you on a rare, extraordinary and psychedelic musical trip in to the deep space of the progressive underground.

Every first Friday of the month Clay has his radio show Connecting Souls on Proton Radio. Let this joyful Deejay connect your souls on the dance floor with his magical mix of progressive house, deep house and melodic techno music. Now in these days you can find him as a resident in the best underground club in Amsterdam, The Recycle Lounge Gallery Club, and in the famous hotspot Club NL.
