Connecting Souls 080 on Proton Radio

Inspired by legendary artist such as Jeff Mills, Carl Cox and Sven Väth, 33 year old Block.I.am from Amsterdam decided to get him some Technics SL1200 deck and a mixer by the end of 2002. 

This was also after seeing just too many other artists who just played any track after any track without enough energy and passion to get a crowd excited.

Although the search for the 'right' tracks remains a huge challenge, Block.I.am’ DJ sets today have evolved from Progressive Tech-House to an undefined style of uplifting dance-floor-filling house with a strong Techno touch. Kickin' energy grooves enthusiastically around the world. 

People who visited his gigs have experienced it’s impossible to dwell upon hearing his music. His ability to capture sounds and emit them so expressively is a gift. Music has always been a priority in Block.I.am’ life; anyone who witnesses him gracing the decks can attest to this.

Residencies at 'Secret Sessions' and 'House in the House' (The Netherlands); Block.I.am is looking back at notorious gigs on Koh Phangan island in Thailand at the full moon party and closing act at 'Club Backyard'.
 
Block.I.am worked the crowds successfully at famous venues as Shoko & El Mondo, both located in Barcelona, Club Mansion and Hotel Arena, both in Amsterdam. Also as closing act in Club Carpe Diem ‘CDLC’ Barcelona in 2013 and 2015.  

Other gigs include 'Summer Sizlle' in Greenwich UK, exclusive ‘house’ parties as well as several other gigs in well-known (beach) clubs all around the world. 

He knows that the reason people go to parties is to shake their ass and have fun.

So, expect much more to come in the future Block.I.am out from Amsterdam!

Marc de Koning  His music style varies from deep and energetic house to underground progressive tech house. With this deep love & appreciation of house music, he began to produce his own music.	

In 2014 his music career took a turn for the better when Dimitri Kneppers, the pioneer of house music in the Netherlands began to incorporate Marc’s music into his sets. 

2014 brought another DJ blessing into the mix for Marc met Luke Santos, a well loved & talented DJ from Argentina who now lives in Amsterdam. They clicked and have been pro ducing music together ever since.

Marc de Koning is presently a resident DJ at RLGC44 (Recycle Lounge Gallery Club) in Amsterdam.

Inspired by the first mixing programs on the Dutch radio, Clement van Dijk started mixing in the early 80’s. Being the music obsessive that he is, it didn’t take him very long to find a local club (Display) to showcase his skills. After doing so for a couple of years the promoters of Arnhems hottest dance club; Luxor, offered him a monthly residency on the Stargate party's. This gave Clay the opportunity to play alongside almost every well-known deejay in Holland, and in countries like, Hungary, Mexico, Germany, England, Greece and others... 

This quietly-spoken DJ from Amsterdam has always understood what made people dance, but never compromised his vision of what good music should be like. By continuously following his favorite waxmasters, like John Digweed, Sasha, Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo, he developed his love for progressive house music. And now as a big fan of producers like, Guy J, Alex O'Rion, Marcelo Vasami, Matias Chilano, Matter, GMJ and many more....

His style reaches from proggy house with some of the most beautiful strings and vocals you are likely to hear unto deep and dark progressive. He combines deep house, progressive and melodic techno into a hypnotic and intense DJ set. His specialty is creating an atmosphere wherein the audience will be taken to a different musical level. He will take you on a rare, extraordinary and psychedelic musical trip in to the deep space of the progressive underground.

Every first Friday of the month Clay has his radio show Connecting Souls on Proton Radio. Let this joyful Deejay connect your souls on the dance floor with his magical mix of progressive house, deep house and melodic techno music. Now in these days you can find him as a resident in the best underground club in Amsterdam, The Recycle Lounge Gallery Club, and in the famous hotspot Club NL.
