The Wanton Bishops are the Lebanese blues rock duo comprised of Nader Mansour and Eddie Ghossein. Their distinctive sound—sitting comfortably between the old and the new, the acoustic and the electric, the tanned soul of the Swamp blues and the raw energy of a great rock ‘n’ roll riff—has made them a household name on the thriving Beirut scene, as well as scoring them gigs from SXSW to London, India to South Africa. As the first act to be signed to Red Bull Music Publishing, 2015 will see them make even more moves internationally, so it’s about time you get familiar… ‘Sun Rising’ will feature on the newly mastered re-release of the Bishops’ debut album Sleep With The Lights On, set to drop on Suburban Records in January.
