The third collaborative EP sees Clergy boss, Cleric, team up with French artist Kmyle. On remix duties is Blueprint label owner, James Ruskin, in what is a perfect way to conclude the final chapter in this series of five releases (CRG011 - 015). The ‘Empty Shells EP’ is due for release April 12th.

‘Empty Shells’ offers an unusually stripped back approach, concentrating on the raw modular rhythm that carries the track. Ruskin then offers his own perspective, adding sparse percussion and different synth elements to offer a driving counterpart to the original.

The flip side starts with ‘Vostrax’, a strong, powerful production that teases you with acidic elements that breathe in and out of solid rhythmic, distorted drums. For the final track of the EP ‘Televised’ slows things down in tempo, but still offers a hard hitting edge.

Your thoughts pause as your attention draws to this moment. You begin to wonder... 'where am I, what was I doing?'.

A sense of frustration passes as a wave of tranquillity washes over you. Riding this feeling, you begin to drift into a state of intense thought. Places, faces and emotions surround you, passing by at the speed of light. It's as if your entire existence was inhaled by the vacuum of your focus. There is now little but a presence of darkness, yet somehow you feel at peace.

Suddenly, your mind blossoms like a flower and a rush of energy passes through you. It pulsates your very being, at a rate that feels so right, so content. Messages sing themselves into your imagination painting pictures of beauty. You're surrounded by lifeforms that creep closer with playfulness. You descend deeper, in awe of all that is before you.

The thought arises, is this real? And suddenly, all of what you have just experienced begins to float, just out of reach. A snapshot of this very instance is stored in your conscience forever. It is this moment that you will ponder for the rest of your waking life.

Groov Mekanik aims to seize these moments and store them as vibrational data that evoke wonder. Breathe deep, move fast and enjoy the ride.

The Viennese DJ and producer, born in 1985 had always a strong relation to music.
As a child he studied guitar, during adolescence he preferred Hip Hop and started to produce music.
At the age of 15 he discovered Electronic Music and the passion and fascination for producing continued.
His first track was released in 2012, numerous others followed, for instance on KOPFMUSIK. The cologne label made his first gig abroad in January 2013 possible.
By the end of the year in December he started his own underground event CONFUSED in Das Werk Wien. The brand was so successful that it toured from Vienna to Felsenkeller Salzburg, MS Connexion Complex Mannheim up to Lehmann Club in Stuttgart.
The style of QASUAL (formerly known as Tom Gotti) can be described as Techno with an industrial touch.
He had gigs all over Austria as well as in Germany, from Cologne to Berlin and Stuttgart - where he lived for over 5 years. After a heavy accident he further developed his style which was not compatible with Tom Gotti.
QASUAL comes from the English word casual which can be anything from slow, minimal, fast, hard, ravy or athmospheric tunes but he prefers hypnotic tracks, messed up synths and driving, hard bassdrums.
