FRANK DIXON	[BIO - APRIL 2015 - UPDATED MARCH 2016]

Frank Dixon is a quirky 17 year old, a down to earth normal teenager. With a passion for songwriting and the physics of the universe, Frank takes his fans on an artistic and intelligent journey in everything that he does. 

For some of us our journey is chosen for us, and Frank is an example of exactly that. At the age of 6 Frank stood up from the TV and walked over to the family piano where he played the melody of a TV theme song that he loved with 2 hands - he never looked back. Frank has focused his entire life on writing and performing his music ever since. 

At 11 he was scouted on YouTube by a Canadian talent scout and wisped to the offices of Atlantic Records in LA – where he was then asked to work with Grammy Award winning producers Firstborn, Devine Evans and Grammy nominated producer Dre Knight on his original music. 

By 13 he had won the Australian Under 18 Songwriter of the Year (ASA) Award. Frank then went on to win it again at the age of 15 for his original compositions “Step Into The Dark” and “Gold”. His songwriting successes are widely documented.

Frank found his love for producing his own music when he was 14, in his bedroom studio, and he has just completed his debut, fully self produced EP “Hello World” - a collection of 7 self produced, written and performed songs. 

The title track “Hello World” was mixed by world renowned Producer and Mix Engineer, Clif Norrell (Jeff Buckley, R.E.M, U2, Gotye) who wanted to work on the song after hearing a selection of Frank’s work. Other tracks on the EP include “Empire”, “Hi Goodbye” and the beautifully inspiring track “Back To The Stars”. 

Frank’s genre is a blend of acoustic singer/songwriter with a touch of Ed Sheeran, John Mayer and Coldplay. The style is unique and edgy and has had one industry commentator label Frank Dixon’s genre as “intellipop” (intelligent pop!)

Frank has been rated as one of the best young live performers in Australia with years of shows under his belt already. Frank is currently rehearsing the live show with his new band and has a string of live shows and tours over 2015. 

“Hello World” is a body of work sure to capture the hearts of music lovers. For Frank – the journey has just begun… #HelloWorld !!
