Influenced by the likes of Todd Terje, Stimming, Jimpster and acts such as Tame Impala, Tycho and Caribou, Budakid has developed a very melodic style all his own.

A typical Budakid song has a funky groove, the right set of chords and some strong, positive vibes all mashed together. All this made him a crowd favorite at festivals like Solar, Indian Summer and Kinder​garten and clubs such as Melkweg Amsterdam and Effenaar Eindhoven.

His music has been already supported by heavyw​eights such as Tensnake, Oliver Schories and Claptone, releasing on labels like Einmusika, Jalapeño Records and Manual Music.

Today's exclusive premiere is Budakid's 'Black Mountain' off the eponymous 3 track EP on Audiomatique Recordings. Here, the atmosphere is deep and spacey - the gradual introduction of perfectly crafted elements build to a sleek, irresistible groove.

Alles begann bei „What Else“ mit einem 1990er Jahre Vocoder. „Den habe ich im Keller meines Vaters gefunden“, verrät @looke, „und der hatte einen eigenen, ganz speziellen Sound, in den ich mich verliebte. Mein Vater wunderte sich sehr über mein Interesse, denn seiner Meinung nach konnte ich diese „Chormaschine“ doch überhaupt nicht für meine Musik benutzen. Doch da er bereits als semi-professioneller Volksmusiker in Rente war, hat er mir den Kasten überlassen.“ (...)
