Aiden is one of the resident artists of Cinematique. After a string of releases and remixes we’re happy to announce his debut album ‘Gebruikerssporen’ later this year. The first single ‘Arboretum’ is a preview of what’s coming. The single includes two originals and two remixes.

One of the tracks is called ‘Houdje Touwtje’ and it features the vocals of Hermione Green. Where the original is quite off beat, the guys of Folie a deux turned it into a stunning dance floor tune. It’s the second appearance of the Dutch duo after they previously released an EP on Cinematique. With their amazing remix for Aiden we believe they will appeal to the Afterlife and Life & Death crowds.

Dutch master Paul Hazendonk returns to the label with 'The Thoughts'. His last outing back in November of 2016 was received to high acclaim. On his long-awaited return to ICONYC, Paul delivers a slice of early spring vibes titled ‘The Thoughts’. 

The original kicks things off nicely with its melancholic moodiness shining through as we meander effortlessly through club inspired melodies, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth which are an integral component in the Paul Hazendonk production sound, as melodic techno, deep and progressive house are closely tied to sensations ranging across the spectrum from melancholy to delight.

Framewerk, famed for their intricate and refined productions created a rework full of tension from the word go, as the atmospheric vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up we have Kamilo Sanclemente & Golan Zocher, who have been tearing up dance floors with their recent productions. They keep the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear yet sounding fresh - This mystical touch up takes the energy levels up a notch but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove.

Each edition of the Four To The Floor series, now in its 16th instalment, always presents four tracks that are some of the strongest secret weapons from the sets of Solomun.
Opening up the record is Maceo Plexs Mutant Magic, which gets the engine going with deeply pounding percussions and otherworldly synth dabs and vocals.
Up next the sinister-sounding Plastic Head TV by Fairmont, a driving and dystopian melodic techno track.
Track number three is Louisville Lip (Abaze Edit) by Nico Garreaud, a Tech-House anthem with rapid drum patterns and energizing arpeggiators.

Returning to the label to present another brilliantly executed composition is the French producer Dolbytall and his Nanites EP including a remix by label owners Remotion.
The opening track 'Nanites' is remarkably ingenious, with its arpeggiated synth reverberating in juxtaposition to the melodic bass.
The second track is the Remotion remix of 'Nanites'. In a supreme precedent of sturdy musicianship, they reveal comprehensive drum work on the original, an intricate bassline and a trademark synthesizer.
Closing the ensemble is 'Fly On Jupiter' which is unbelievably intense, with its ominous textures and strong driving pulsating synth that keeps on giving.
An accurately elegant package making it an absolute banger of a release.
