Oliver Huntemann’s concrete roots can be traced back to early techno. Hadhe been any younger, he would undoubtedly have sucked electronica likemother’s milk from a C64 chip. Like so many of his colleagues, his route totechno took a tour through electro and rave. He could tell the usual veterantales when it comes to influences, his first record purchases, or on the subjectof the good old days. Been there, done that! It was more difficult maintaininga low profile.June 2017 saw the first Senso Sounds Day and Night Open Air draw in thecrowds, a perfect springboard to extend the scope of label and bookingoperations. Both his label Senso Sounds and his Kontrast Artists agencyhave been up and running since 2014.Huntemann the producer and collaborator has racked up remixes for the likesof Chemical Brothers, Depeche Mode, Underworld (the list goes on) and hiswork with Dubfire now spans a good eight years (Elements, Dios, Diablo,Humano).Since 2016, his residency at Watergate has been illuminating Berlin's nightlifequite brilliantly, whilst he continues to play clubs and festivals all over theplanet: from Warung in Brazil and the Rex Club in Paris to BPM Festival inMexico, Strawberry Fields and Let Em Eat Cake in Australia or WoogieWeekend in California.2017 sees the arrival of Oliver Huntemann's 5th album “Propaganda”,traileredby two EPs entitled Rotlicht and Poltergeist. All three releases ripplewith taut techno tunes as only he can deliver. Six long years have passedsince the 4th Huntemann album “Paranoia”, but do not be fooled into thinkinghe was taking a break - on the contrary, he has been busier than ever.That’s how it is in the north, actions count, not appearances!

Wir gehen zusammen die prachtvolle Allee entlang, welche kerzengerade auf die Zentrale zuläuft. Der Fremde stellt sich als Toben vor, aber alle nennen ihr nur „Lighter“, da er auf Raves immer genügend Feuerzeuge dabeihat, um in Notsituationen auszuhelfen. Automatisch erstellt mein Gehirn eine Notiz, dass Toben in Zukunft nützlich sein könnte. Er scheint schon länger bei ComRa zu sein, dass erkennt man an der Routine beim Betreten des Gebäudes. Handshake mit der Security danach ein kurzer Schwatz mit dem Empfang und ganz nebenbei werden die Formalitäten erledigt. In weniger als 5 Minuten hat er den Eintritt in die Zentrale gemeistert und grinst verschmitzt von der anderen Seite. „Wir sehen uns, dann in einer halben Stunde bei der Schulung!“, war das letzte was ich von ihm hörte, bevor er in den Weiten der Zentrale verschwand. Ich stand noch am Eingang direkt vor der Tür und brachte zunächst kein Wort raus.

„Bitte treten Sie vor und geben sie alle elektronischen Geräte ab“, brummte mich die Security an. Etwas verschüchtert krame ich in meinen Taschen, bevor ich auf die Idee komme nach dem „Warum?“ zu fragen. „Ich verfolge nur das Standard Sicherheitsprotokoll. Im Interesse seiner Mitarbeiter, nimmt ComRa den Datenschutz sehr ernst. Im Gebäude sind daher keine elektronischen Geräte erlaubt.“ Ich nicke und tue so als würde ich den Sinn hinter der Aussage verstehen. Außer meinem Handy habe ich keine weiteren Geräte bei mir. Dies solle ich mir beim Verlassen des Gebäudes wieder abholen. Des Weiteren erfolgte eine kurze Abtastung, wie beim Betreten eines Fußballstadions. Am Empfang wurde meine Personalien aufgenommen und der Grund meines Besuchs dokumentiert. Bei Lighter wurden die ganzen Sicherheitsmaßnahmen deutlich reduzierter durchgeführt. Vielleicht sieht er einfach vertrauenswürdiger als ich aus. Nach 20 Minuten hatte auch ich die andere Seite erreicht und konnte mich auf den Weg zur Schulung machen. Dabei wurde ich von zwei sehr schweigsamen Mitarbeiter der Security begleitet. Sie brachten mich auf den kürzesten Weg und schnellen Schrittes zum Schulungsraum. Auf meine Fragen reagierten sie nicht. Dabei hätte ich sehr gern gewusst, ob ich auch den Manager von ComRa heute treffen würde. Ich hätte da einige Verbesserungsvorschläge zu unterbreiten, um Effizienz und Wohlfühlfaktor in ein sinnvolles Gleichgewicht zu bringen. Stattdessen sitze ich allein auf einem unbequemen Stuhl und soll auf weitere Anweisungen warten. 

Ich lehne mich zurück und atme tief ein. Dabei fällt mir die Musik auf, welche sanft in der Umgebung ertönt. Ich kann nirgendwo Lautsprecher entdecken. Es scheint so als würde die Musik gleichmäßig aus allen Richtungen auf mich einströmen. Ich schließe die Augen und vergessen für einen Augenblick die Unannehmlichkeiten der letzten Minuten.

Lasst euch vom Stress des Alltags befreien und vergesst auch ihr für einen kurzen Augenblick die Welt um euch herum. Die passenden Melodien für einen kurzen Moment der Entspannung liefert euch heute Squire. Der ehemalige Formel 1 Fahrer hat in den letzten Jahren durch zahlreiche Ep`s auf Labels wie Mobilee, Einmusika, Get Physical oder All Day I Dream auf sich aufmerksam gemacht. Zudem hat er gerade erst eine sehr hörenswerte EP Selador Recordings veröffentlicht.

After the success of the fine album, Triphoria, released on Monkey Safari's imprint Hommage, Kotelett & Zadak have invited a great selection of stars to remix it.

Triphoria made for a great musical journey from start to finish. It covered plenty of ground and offered lots of diverse sounds so is ripe for remixing. It was the latest in a long line of success for this talented pair, who have been working together since 2008 on labels like Hi Freaks, Acker Records, Katermukke and many more.

Selected to remix are the likes of Monkey Safari, who tackle Let It Happen with a deep sense of soul and emotion. Then Martin Waslewski turns the title track into a spine tingling cut that takes you to another level. And & And gets re-rubbed by Viktor Talking Machine and comes out as an absorbing, slick house cut for cosy and intimate dance floors.

Filburts O*RS Boogie mix of Everything I Do is playful and colourful, soul drenched and romantic, Prismic makes Triphoria a dark and slow burning beauty and Soukie & Windish go for a spaced out and melodically rich take on Bodies In The Night. Finally, Orkit flips Light into a classy deep house number with spiritual chords, bumpy drums and free flowing vibes.

This is a brilliant package that breathes lots of new life into the still excellent originals.

In addition of being a special day to him today (his birthday), he does us the honor to deliver us 4 tracks.

The title of this LP "Inicia Vojaĝo" means "Initiatory Journey" in the Esperanto language (universal language spoken in 120 countries).

Kaöb takes us beyond our known borders, through a journey to Sacred Lands through Mexico, Japan, Bolivia and Brazil, in a context of personal, spiritual and conscious journey.

It is a true mystical experience to open up to new horizons, space of possibilities of our Way of life.

Bassic is Back !! With a massive EP release from the German psy-tech maestro - Breger. 3 Originals with remixes from Biomass, arketech and John Baptiste, this EP is possibly our favourite Bassic Records release yet. 

Upon receiving the EP for premiere submission, we were all absolutely blown away by the first listen of 'Color Blind'. The dark, rough and tough characteristics capturing our imagination, placing ones mind amidst an underground street rave, surrounded by weird and whacky graffiti pieces, cutting shapes to the infectious groove that Breger lays phat in this track . Often dubbed the King of FX, Breger's utilisation of perfect FX manipulation really shines through in the various breakdown's of 'Color Blind', a feature that will get producers, DJ's and fans pinning their heads back and dropping their jaws in awe of this dude's paranormal sonic abilities. 

A darker shift in the Bassic Records sound, we are convinced you guys are going to absolutely froth this upcoming sonic chapter in the Bassic journey.
