We have the exclusive premiere of Anii's interpretation of "Decay" on Polymath! Forthcoming 04/11/16

Polymath continues on it’s thematic journey, this time touching on the concept of ‘Decay’. Leading the troupe is renowned duo Digitaria. Their piece relies on a hypnotic, chugging bass-line and melodic leads to reveal their thoughts on the theme. The lead synth plays with decay and sustain parameters to reinforce the idea, and a suspenseful break adds to the compelling mood.

Polymath head Third Son, and Sincopat’s Darlyn Vlys, collaborate for the first time to bring us a heads down, melancholic affair, with a clear message. The words “The end is the same for everyone one”, points towards the idea of death, emphasising the theme.

Newcomer Ańii, makes her Polymath debut in style. A relentless bass-line coupled with dark atmospheres makes this one for the later nights. Arpeggiated chords enter the arrangement during a break before once again being pushed out by the powerful low end.

Premiere: Lake Avalon - Atlantis (Original Mix) [Stil vor Talent]

Los Angeles-based @Rinzen has been on the up and up, first with mau5trap and now landing on London's Chapter 24 label for their upcoming 'Seven Stories: Tragedia' compilation. Rinzen closes out the collection of tracks with his chilling and uplifting new original, 'Temple'. It's a cinematic take, equipped with a string breakdown to drive its emotional power home. "I've been wanting to work with a live string player for a long time," Rinzen explains. "This song came about after a great studio session with a violinist from the Netherlands named Allesandra Veger." Premiere: Rinzen 'Temple'

'Berlin's Scatcity Records hit release number eight, turning to head honcho Skatman who offers up a trio of original productions alongside a guest appearance from Lauer.

The title track 'High Zeit' leads the way in classic Scatcity form. Echoing percussive elements rattle around before the driving force of looping melodies dance around the rolling hats and throbbing bass line. 'Final Shot' then lowers the tone with eerie organs and pulsating bass synth that lock around icy cymbals, whilst warped and squelching melodies dart from left to right in a quality progressive production.

On the B side, we have '11th Hour', a track that instantly grabs your attention with a dominant chugging bass and minimalistic approach from the drums. Anthemic chords then arrive creating an uplifting and euphoric mood, one that works well alongside the moody foundations. Lauer then transforms Skatman's work with a hint of Italo disco and funk, as a synth-heavy adaptation will leave you reaching for the club ceiling with a huge smile on your face.'

First sunbeams are hitting us more and more frequently and we are definitely kissing the winter goodbye. Perfect moment to drop the trippy ‚Paperdoll‘ EP by Alex Breitling. Less progressive and more playful than his usual work, we like the combination of voices, haunting bass line and the spaced out background noises. Additional remixed versions by Avocado, who is giving his track a more direct and straight rhythm, as well as Lauter.‘s very own Alex Heide, who is dialing up the grooviness in his remix.
