After two contributions to Diynamic’s Four To The Floor series (Editions 10 and 17), Italian duo gizA djs are now releasing their first full EP on Diynamic titled „Acid Afternoon“.
The melancholia of the opening track „In The Sun“ is like running towards the sunset, trying to obviate its descent, when you know you should rather just halt and enjoy the warmth of its last rays. 
„Rise“ is a slowly building and heartfelt dance floor affair. Its trippy arpeggiator is accompanying you while you fall deeper down the rabbit hole. 
„Reload“ is a stopover on the journey. Glance around and feel it all: your heart is pounding, the colors never shone brighter, and your tour guide is pointing out all the places where you can find spiritual enlightenment.
And title track „Acid Afternoon“ is the story’s centerpiece: All engines are go and fuzziness fills the room. Don’t look too far ahead, just focus on the now.

Again a powerful combination of established and upcoming artists, this latest offering shares the predecessor’s thirst for adventure: after opening with the dustbowl belter LA RACE from PAULOR – a raw, slightly psychotic rocker spiritually akin to the beat contraptions of label head Rebolledo, we’re quickly shuffling towards PACHANGA BOYS’ hypnotic NEW BLAZER EDIT of the excellent ROMAN FLÜGEL cut DEO, followed by the echo-drenched vocal jam MOTHER FUCKING TWINS from FANTASTIC TWINS (aka The Twins). Danish luminary KASPER BJØRKE presents a soaring disco anthem with CHOIR OF YOUNG RAVERS that will bathe any dance floor in starlight, while Mexican duo ZOMBIES IN MIAMI closes the dance with the trippy FLASHBACK MANTRA, a cultist ritual turned neo-tribal club incantation.

Less progressive and more playful than his usual work, we like the combination of voices, haunting bass line and the spaced out background noises. Additional remixed versions by Avocado, who is giving his track a more direct and straight rhythm, as well as Lauter.‘s very own Alex Heide, who is dialing up the grooviness in his remix.
