Previously tipped by fellow Geordie Cristoph as artists to watch, Newcastle-based duo Wacko & Leedman have earned themselves a reputation for crafting warm, emotive productions that have won support from the likes of Joseph Capriati, Massano and OC & Verde. Adding to their ever-growing back catalogue, the pair now bring their melodic-leaning sonics to Lee Foss’ Repopulate Mars via their latest drop, ‘It’s Enuff’. 

“Our first introduction to club experiences was around the time of artists like Lee Foss, Jamie Jones and Patrick Topping filling out venues with that distinct underground sound. A lot of those early 2010 tracks heavily influenced the way we approached our own productions, so to be releasing on a label like Repopulate Mars with a track that we feel is really special is a surreal feeling that we’re really proud of.” - Wacko & Leedman

Hot oﬀ the back of their ‘It’s Enuﬀ’ single on Repopulate Mars last October, which appeared in the record bags of tastemakers such as Nora En Pure, David Lindmer, and Anthony Pappa, Geordie duo Wacko & Leedman return to Lee Foss’ storied label for back-to-back releases with their latest ‘Roses’ EP .

“Following on from our debut release on Repopulate Mars earlier this year, we’re absolutely buzzing to have our first EP out on such a massive label that’s been so influential to us over the years. Still feels a bit mad to be releasing on a label that's homed music from so many huge artists that have all influenced our own music in some way." - Wacko & Leedman.

Title cut ‘Roses’ sees the pair draw for their signature warm, atmospheric sonics as smoky vocal fragments unfold over cavernous bass, nimble drums and eerie synths. ‘Lonely Lately’ ups the pace to deliver a no-nonsense vocal club heater, utilising sharp metallic percussion, addictive basslines, and playful leads.

PREMIERE: Wacko & Leedman - Lonely Lately [Repopulate Mars]

Particularly established for his melodic compositions using different instrumental backgrounds and especially his electric violin as Live-Act, Kittball’s current superhero and musical all-rounder Paji teamed up with Ante Perry from Dortmund, who belongs to the very long-term approved fellows since the early years of the label. Together they have conjured “diagonal” sounds resulting to a trippy tune in the original, which gets supported by two amazing remixes. The imprints rising talent Flo MRZDK hailing from Dortmund as well, who was mainly focusing on original collaborations with Juliet Sikora during his 5 years of intense relationship with Kittball, actually now debuts with his very own remix representing a rather distorted and more driving character of the piece. A highly valued underground protagonist from Berlin, who already appeared as remixer of P.A.C.O. and Tube & Berger’s “Greyjoy EP” back in 2013 and furthermore selected part of the “A Decade Of  Kittball” sampler having been the 100th label release at the same time, the easily discerning Einmusik put all his qualities into cheerful and emphasizing harmonies which will remain in your mind for a good time.

Founded by label boss Einmusik end of 2008, the imprint has grown to a large family with members from Beirut, Toronto, Madrid, Amsterdam and many more cities. To celebrate 10 Years of it’s creative journeys and visions, Einmusika asked some friends and highly respected musicians to pick their favourite track from the past 10 Years for a very particular remix. 

So this time we’ll bring ya „J’oublie“ remixed by Olivier Giacomotto - a big dancefloor number. Dave Seaman remixed Tim Engelhardt’s “Vega“ and this one stays in your mind for hours. 3000 Grad founder Mollono.Bass comes with a new version of “Multiple Life“ by Einmusik - one for the hot nights and the festivals around the globe. We asked Julian Wassermann about his fave Einmusika track and he picked “La Danse Du Scorpion“ by Sébastien Léger - the one which made the clubs shaking in 2017 and is now putted to the next level with a darker attitude and clubby sounds. Emotional and uplifting comes Paji’s version of “Starlings“ by N’to, what an unique remix - individual and spheric.

Every Journey Creates A New Sound – Einmusika’s trip continues and the label will manifest itself with many showcases and own festival stages till the end of 2019.
