If everything suddenly changed – what would that be like? German house producer Qnete aka Marvin Uhde has been quite active in the past couple of years, with numerous EPs released on Drowned Records, ZCKR and Lobster Theremin. He's at it again with "If Everything Suddenly Changed", his new delivery on Wake Up! Records. According to the press release, all tracks were recorded "within a short period of time" and "straight to tape, raw and improvised", which is something you can definitely hear throughout the EP. The title track featured here is a good example of it, with its warm analog sound, organic synths, and crisp electronic percussion. House music at its best, need!

The noise echoed loud and proud, the chime of bells rang out to see in the new year and many people danced with great joy and delight in the streets. There was a sense of purpose about this night but it would all mean nothing if the new year did not bring with it some form of change, a new mentality and a delightful sense of peace. The night was dark but his own hopes were filled with promise and aspiring glory, there was a warmth to his insides as he sipped upon red wine and looked out upon the stars. To night or tonight, it all might change. 

Tred is set to release a new EP on Doe Dee, the "Planet Perth" EP to be precise and it draws upon some sort of mutated influence sitting somewhere between electro and trance. It's bloody great and we can expect it will be wholeheartedly well received. Big tip.

With mind-bending hypnotism tools for the floor, this is some top notch deep techno. Coming from Chicago-based producer Brian Labycz, who has been a long-standing regular in the Chi-town smartbar crew. Having been a go-to man for final track mixes of many producers across the city and the midwest, Labycz makes his debut release with pure heat.

For their 2nd release, the not for profit Sinchi Music will be donating all proceeds to their Sinchi Foundation which supports indigenous peoples’ rights and the preservation of their culture and knowledge. Here they feature a trio of duos, with an original single from newcomers BarumBarum and remixes from acclaimed artists Khidja and SHMLSS. Andreja Salpe and Filip Polski hail from Macedonia and have worked together as BarumBarum since 2017. They create music which is heavily influenced by different cultures and formed with synths, guitars, bass guitar, tamboura, harmonica and more to create their unique sound. Their brilliantly original single ‘Ritual’ is a broody bit of rumbling dark disco with eerie guitar licks ringing out through the rumbling drums. It’s filled with analogue textures and is the sort of rugged cut to really standout in a set. Romanian duo Khidja have released on a host of major international labels including DFA, Hivern and Especial amongst others. They bring plenty of warped bass and heavy, chugging drums to their remix, which is spacious and absorbing throughout. Finally, long time Sinchi friends SHMLSS who run the Amsterdam XXX label, expertly rework the original with mechanical grooves that are stomping and stark, with metallic hits and gothic vocals, permeating through this most industrial disco groover. Sinchi Music continues to make a real mark with this latest excellent EP.

The man behind the timeless tune 'Anasthasia', comes back! First in the ceremony, 'Deliver' fuses rich synths and melancholic pads with the producers' signature fast paced drums, leaving no rest for the wicked. The darker tone of the second track 'Twisted Driver' sets the tone into full energy.

The record label Gladio Operations launches its second release onto the market after the recognition of its debut EP Flight to Anywhere released in June.
War to The Future gives its name to the first series of various artists from the label, which includes four electro cuts, exclusively orientated for the dance floor.

The EP opens with a producer from Barcelona Univac, who after releasing Chernobyl tracks on the Dutch label Moustache Records, gifts us with Station Cero, a powerful, devastating track resonating with industrial sounds. The second track titled Poison, bears the signature of the Ukrainian artist Lectromagnetique, a track loaded with excellent dark and enigmatic sounds. The owners of the Gladio Operations label, UHF, open side B with Unexplained Situation, a vertiginous journey wrapped in rich and deep psychedelic textures.
With releases on well renowned labels such as Bass Agenda and Bunker Records, the Serbian producer Alavux closes the EP with Sunset, a fantastic track with an aggressive bass line and significant and repetitive sequences.

Hidden beneath the mattress was a mysterious surprise, it lurked in the darkness away from the light and had been buried long ago to the depths of secrecy and mistruth. As he lifted the old thing up he noticed the pile of money, it was wrapped and sealed in carrier bags which looked old as hell. It had been stashed long ago following a reign of terror and a crime wave which had brought the neighbourhood to a stand still. Now he would use the battered funds for good, giving something back to those who deserved better.

Cando appears on a new compilation from Pressure Dome, the record label based in Bristol run by Yussh. It features a prominent array of producers who collectively deliver a wide spectrum of sounds across a sprawling release. All proceeds from the release of the compilation will be donated to a homeless charity in Bristol called Caring.
