Like turning off a noisy machine, the passive awareness of KINPERCEPTION suspends the disruptive habits of runaway self-centered thought. In the free, open space thereby created, a signature asymmetry of human nature becomes self-evident: that CORRUPTION is fast and easy: PURIFICATION, is slow and hard.

The main idea explored in this dialogue tape is that thought is merely an instrument. But because this instrument of thought has broken itself off from the vastly larger circle of awareness and consciousness, it generates the powerful illusion that thought is all there is. This mistake, and more importantly the ignorance there of, results in a steady stream of contradictions and conflicts. It is also a tremendous waste of energy. The crucial point is that a kind of passive, effortless, ongoing awareness can easily sense these disruptions—akin to overt physical pain—and thereby stop them before they happen.
