This was the track I finished that prompted me to want to make an ep with these sounds, but it was hard for me to do that. I put a lot of pressure on myself and realized that I'm not ready to make that kind of cohesive project yet and that's okay.  Inspo from aso (this song was built around a piano track he posted on twitter), laxcity, and instupendo, and tennyson.

Noisy, saturated, unsteady - Tape Haze features 130+ luscious analog textures, chords, and one-shot tones. All of these files were recorded to cassette tape and then at 48kHz 24bit via Apogee mic pres, complete with all the distortion, pitch modulation, and stereo imaging magic that cassette tape brings. 

Featuring Tascam 414 MKII Four Track Tape Recorder, Korg MS20, Volca Keys and FM, Moog Sub Phatty, Casio CZ-3000, Sohmer and Sons upright piano.

This is an EP made collaboratively by the We Suck At Producing discord server as part of the second Server vs. Server competition. Over 3 weeks (and with a 15m length limit), provided the prompt of "struggle" we created a series of tracks designed to follow the arc of the archetypal Hero's Journey, or Monomyth.
As per our previous EP, anybody and everybody could contribute, and this is what we produced; we're once again proud to share the result of our enormous collective effort with you!
