From Detroit to JA

Rainer Ptacek (1951 - 1997) was an original. The Tuscon, Arizona based guitarist was feted by everyone from Emmylou Harris to Robert Plant to ZZ Top. His slide/finger picking was peerless. We were lucky enough to record with him at Eastcote Studios in London in the early nineties. This remix was one result. There are also a number of unreleased tracks that Rainer's wife Patti has on cassette - long ambient/slide jams just like this. We'll find them and put them up here.
