Mark du Mosch is a Rotterdam based producer and DJ who has earned the highest amount of respect in the Dutch alternative music scene in the past couple of years. The reason is simple: he dares to go beyond the obvious, his raw yet emotional signature sound being distinctive, versatile and stunningly creative. Expect perfectly executed analogue bliss from a craftsman who is slowly yet steadily making his way into the records bags of global house and techno connoisseurs.

The title track is a quirky display of what the multi-talented du Mosch has to offer. Complex but catchy melody lines meet a highly effective get-in-high gear bassline, bridging the gap between analogue roughness and subtle chords. If this bass-inflicted break down doesn’t tear up some early morning dance floors, nothing else will.

Hiccupping kicks, steady groovin’ hi-hats and analogue synth patterns that keep building momentum are the impelling ingredients for 'Living Up'. Cosmic warmth topped by lush, ancient sounding yet timeless drums. Emotive stuff that grabs your attention instantly.

From Russia with love; Moscow based cult producer Gesloten Cirkel kicks it up a notch with his rough-and-ready take on 'Living Up'. Wailing synths, piston hi-hats and an everything but straight-to-the-point bassline make for an epic esoteric house jam.

Surprising release by Gerd on the Basement Series with an old classic themed techno track he found on a dusty DAT tape while archiving some old recordings. Somehow a traditional techno track with metalic basslines, stellar string sounds and retro futuristic vocals with a classic theme... time & space. The original slower paced version did get an reshape/makeover that gives it a 2011 update that will be a standard record in the box for many! Remixers on duty are Rotterdam's Duplex duo who are back in business and deliver two remixes. Timeless tracks that will stand out between all dj tools!

On the 29th of May I did a event called Waarom niet? It means Why not? In Dutch... I did not publish a line up and kept it secret for everybody. 1 hour after opening the doors we were completely sold out. It was a epic night which I will remember for the rest of my life. The crowd was amazing (understatement) and also all the other DJ's who played. Shoutout to Locklead, Danny Woof, MvdL, Sebastard,  Marcredi and Frankie Howland. Download enabled!

Prolific Dutch artist Conforce is back with another 3LP on Delsin Records. This one marks something of a subtle evolution in his sound in that it returns to a more organic and immersive aesthetic. Made using various bits of outboard gear, it fuses dub rhythm with ambient detail and propulsive 4/4 kick drums to make for absorbing listening. Once again, then, this album proves no one does deep electronic music as well as Conforce.

Clone Classic Cuts serves another cult Italo disco classic! Gorgeous female vocals slapped on that lovely 80's synthesizer/drum programming. This is one of those releases that easily makes it into the top 50 of all time greatest italo disco songs. Produced by Roberto Ferrante (also known for his Pinneaples project) and originally released on the obscure Airport label in 1984. We managed to restore and re-master the original versions and the lovely 'Paris' mix. On top of the original versions we serve you a new re-rub by italian Italo specialist Bottin (Eskimo, Artifacts etc). Bottin did a great job with a new crazy soundhack mix that cranks up the energy level and makes it more jackin. Pretty amazing when you realize that these tracks are making people dance for 28 years now. More then enough reason for a proper re-release on high quality vinyl. Enjoy!

Clone Classic Cuts 021 Clio - Eyes

First part of the Drexciya re-issue series! Drexciya might need an introduction for some, for others it is the most influential techno project ever. Part of the heritage of Detroit's Underground Resistance, Drexciya explored techno music like no-one else before. Raw and uncompromising music that reflects the harsh environment of the city where Drexciya was conceived. The aesthetics and the mythical approach combined with the unique music made this one of the biggest cult projects in techno music. Drexciya arguably stands for the darker side of techno and electro, music not only made for the club scene, but a further development of the music as an expression and extension of the mind. 20 years after the release of ''Deep Sea Dweller'' (their first release), and 10 years after ''Grava 4'' (their last), we present ''Journey Of The Deep Sea Dweller''. This series is an almost complete collection of their early works, and is remastered from the original master tapes. Since the original releases have such a strong character, appeal and stand on their own, this re-issue can never re-create the magic of those originals. So instead we stirred up the catalogue taking the tracks out of their original context, giving the 'in the know' listener a fresh experience and the new listener a document that is the best possible introduction to the aquatic world of Drexciya.

Clone Classic Cuts 022 Drexciya - Journey Of The Deep Sea Dweller I

After Conforce's tight album release on Delsin and other concept projects he did he/we went wild with this one and selected some tracks we just want to play out loud in a club from vinyl (incl. a killer remix by Gesloten Cirkel for the title track). At first sight these tracks dont have much in common... and probably still not for the second listen, but we didnt really bother for this one. It will be a standard in our dj box for the coming months with 4 tracks that all have a bit of a different groove and a different mood. Grain, Be There At Night, 24 and 24 remixed by Gesloten Cirkel. This is probably as versatile as a Clone Basement release can get.

His amazing painting "Winter by Jouswier" (spread among the front and backside of the gatefold sleeve) symbolizes perfectly the rhythm of the open spaces in Friesland. Especialy in the whitened more abstract and cold winter landscape thats almost synonym for Versalife's abstract ice cold electro techno.
