Join me for a fun and energetic jaunt through Psychedelic Trance history ranging from the mid-90s Golden era of Goa Trance through to the mid-2000s when Psy-trance still had some unique gems that hold true to the original spirit of the music.

Originally recorded live by special request for a stream, this harmonically arranged story highlights alternative mixing styles to the standard "DAT" mixing that was popular in the 90s. I make no claims to this music and this recording is intended for educational purposes.

Inward Expansion - A Classic Goa and Psychedelic Trance Journey

On the occasion of April 1st, 2022 a gathering of fools took place for a send-off of epic proportions to say fare-thee-well to two of their number as they set off on a new adventure across the country.

This story represents the serendipitous synchronicity experienced through an evening of merriment, connection and dance. Meant as an introduction to those who have never heard Psychedelic trance before, the pace is set with early Belgian New Beat and Proto, and slowly dives deeper into classic trance and then Goa towards a pinnacle which briefly touches the edge of night and steers toward an uplifting conclusion.

Here's to you, dear friends and your next adventure. May your road be easy and trials brief, and may your new life bring you nothing but joy and contentment.

Back before the fall, I put together this little showcase from the released discography of Cronomi Records and thought it's a good time to share it now. It's a ground-up approach, which was fairly common for sets back in the day. The DJ would start fresh and slow, and gradually steer things deeper and faster into oblivion.

I wanted to take a dive through the history of Cronomi and cover a a wide range of the sounds and tempos you can find through the label's offerings. I hope you enjoy the resulting story. 🙏❤️🍻

I have a lot to be grateful for when it comes to my current partner. She has enabled me to connect more with the music I love, while also being a true partner in everything.

We would typically celebrate our anniversaries with a night of music, where I would play for her through the night. This year, I thought to share this with my closest friends and local community members as two of our members had moved away recently, but were coming to visit and asked if there was any opportunities to dance. 

I was privileged to be able to invite my favourite musical historian, DJ Solitare, who was incredibly generous to agree to my crazy plan to build an unforgettable anniversary gift, along with two other local DJs, one of which had to cancel last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. 

This is the recording of my set from the night, I hope you enjoy as it carries symbolism, samples, emotions and energy that represent facets of our relationship.

The Aftermathematician (Goa Psychedelic Mix)

This fully improvised storyline follows a lone psychonaut on a journey of personal discovery through music into the cosmos and alternate dimensions beyond, then whiplashing back to our Earthly firmament after realizations that astound the psyche and broaden the horizons of his unwitting mind.

It was an unexpected blessing to have been trusted with an extra hour for my Goa Guardians set, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share an unhindered journey through some of my favourite Tunes from the 90s and early 2000s, including some secret weapons.

I am keeping the tracklist unpublished to preserve the unreleased music for the dance floor experience. I hope you enjoy dancing along, and for some—reliving the wonderful experience we shared that night.
