Clouded House is back with four house burners waiting to be spun on the Dear House, With Love EP. The London and Stockholm based label asked four of it’s bravest producers to “sum up how the essence of house music made them feel.” The result is an EP jam packed with a variety of styles and truisms that can be found in nearly every corner of the house music universe. With sounds entrenched in the underground and melodies that stick the label has seen itself grow more and more each year since it’s launch in 2015.  

“Joy-Ride” by Lukas Lyrestam  is a testament to Clouded House’s ability to draw inspiration from both the old and the new in this ever expanding universe of house. With a floating chord progression and drums that seem to wobble with delay every few bars the track is everything both psychedelic and cheerful. The bouncing bassline chugs along with a 90’s style womp and groove as phased out hi hats begin to float back and forth from the left and right ends of the stereo field. As the reverb slowly draws and layers of guitar and synth pads begin to fade into the mix sudden breaks begin to act as fills. Finally, an acidic arpeggio makes its way to the fore as the rest of the melodic layers are peeled and the bassline loses its tenacity.

Dear House, With Love is out on 3.23 and also features tracks from Poth0les, Pelati Riviera, and Ben Gomori.

Daft Punk - Give Life Back To Music (Traveler & PHYNX Remix)

DJ Rou & Lite Orkestra proves to be one of those original, eclectic and interesting projects for the musical research of the current scene. They got to know each other in the summer of 2014 and a character affinity was born immediately, later transformed into a very strong artistic empathy, so much so that in the immediate future they decided to meet often between Bologna and Verona for jam sessions, sharing ideas.
In the summer of 2017, Cognitiva Records became aware of the project and decided without hesitating to press 1,2,3, original tracks of the release “The Ambassador’s Way EP”.
The compositions are a combination of the electronic drums of DJ Rou (MPC, Korg Electribe and other gears), the contrabass and the guitar of LaChi + ThomasPizzini, better known as Lite Orkestra.
The result is a hybrid exuberance between jazz, afro and the experimental flow that derives from the roots of the Jam Sessions.

In terms of consistency, they don’t come much higher than Whiskey Disco. The Orlando outlet specialise in classic disco & edits, all on timeless vinyl. Never will a Whisky Disco record fail to get any dancefloor rocking. They’ve been delivering top quality music since starting out in 2009, and with artists such as “Disco Au Courant” Pontchartrain & Sleazy McQueen in their arsenal is it any wonder why they’re top of the disco food chain. One of Whiskey Disco’s spinoff sublabels ‘Lovedancing’ are another to watch out for, great credit to Sleazy McQueen for producing two very successful labels.

Upcoming on Lovedancing is the Something Else EP by Closed Paradise, the man with a deadly discography with previous releases on Whiskey Disco, Diggin’ Disco Deep & Better Listen. The French producer focuses on deep house via disco sounds with some special remixes from WD regular Pontchartrain and The Silver Rider also featuring on the 6th issue of the Lovedancing series. Track 2 on B side is a Bolting Bits exclusive, The Silver Rider remix of Set It Out, a spinning bass-heavy take on a great track The Silver Rider drives the track even deeper giving it a more raw club-ready feel while still keeping the core integrity of the tune still there. The track seems to take elements from a wide variety of different genres disco, ambient and a touch of jazz while keeping it deep with some euphoric sounds twisting around them signature vocals. Lovedancing, Closed Paradise and remixer The Silver Rider are definitely ones to watch this year so make sure to purchase this great EP.
