Everything Counts is the latest duo we welcome, hailing from Italian Switzerland, with their EP, “it’s Time”. Consisting of 5 tracks, the team of Toshka and Chris Leon packed a multitude of rich sounds across this EP, including two driving, moody remixes of Kamancheh from Majnoon and Socko.

In addition to the title track, “It’s Time”, “Sueño” features the illustrious songwriter, composer and producer Milo Kairos, and elegant strings across an engulfing and paceful rhythm.

Ready Mix Records founder BiGz joins forces with newcomer ELO for label release number 253, 'Beautiful Africa', featuring show-stopping vocals by Farafi, and remixes by Alex Doering and Khaaron.

Linking up with BiGz for the first time, Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Ole Leesker, aka ELO turns in a stunningly deep debut, with more than a little help from talented Afro-inspired vocal duo Farafi.

The original club version of 'Beautiful Africa' builds from acapella voices into a melodic, bouncy house vibe, with tonnes of emotion.
BiGz and ELO slow the tempo for their Downtempo version but turn up the intensity with dramatic minor key stabs and cave-like atmospherics.

DJ, producer and Kung-Fu teacher Alex Doering turns in a tribal and techy version of 'Beautiful Africa', letting the vocals ride over a rock-solid rhythm section.

Closing out the package, Khaaron delivers an elegant, smooth and slightly melancholic take on 'Beautiful Africa', perfect for those reflective moments.

BiGz & ELO feat. Farafi - Beautiful Africa (Khaaron Remix) [Ready Mix]

Sabo’s record label Sol Selectas drops an enchanting Afro house EP by ARKADYAN, which also features remixes by Safar (FR) and Manoo.

ARKADYAN are a talented trio who have previously featured their tribal rhythms and ancestral instruments on other imprints ranging from Cosmic Awakenings to Madorasindahouse Records, and their music has been popular with DJs such as Black Coffee, Bedouin, Satori, Blond:ish and many others of equal note.

Safar (FR) is a French artist who recently debuted on Sol Selectas with a track on the label’s Summer Sol VII compilation with a scorching hot vibe, and this remix once again shows off his talents.

Manoo is from the city of Lyon in France and he is well-known for his productions on Innervisions, Compost and Classic Music Company. His style is a jazzy blend with deep atmosphere and groovy basslines.

“Tulila” is the solo original on the release and it features the vocals of Moroccan artist Radouan Naim who also played the guembri instrument that’s used in the track. The lyrics are sung in the Berber language and are accompanied by tense pads, vibrant percussion and dramatic chords.

Safar (FR) provides a refined remix that’s true to the original with its chopped-up vocals and flowing tribal rhythms that are both crisp and hypnotic.

Closing out the release is the remix by Manoo that adds a new bassline with extra energy while also drawing attention to the percussion to focus on the tribal rhythms of the congas and other percussion.

The artwork by Helia Jamali depicts the golden spiral of life & the harmonic dance of the universe.

Bio:
he name Veytik is the Jewish/Yiddish word for 'Pain'.

Sonically, it is a dark, thought-provoking sound with triumphant bass lines, haunting melodies/chord progressions and intimate drums that speak to a certain audience from his very essence. Essentially, Veytik grew into the music he creates, it comes from a real source that is what shaped him into what he is from life's experiences.

His pain is a double-edged sword that he wields to create from a traumatic & abusive military history. Seeking only peace, love and music that moves souls.

The mask is spawned originally from a favorite musical of his, the Phantom of the Opera. Not the same one but similar. Similar he can relate to the character that was the phantom himself. And in his own concept, the mask is something that we all hide behind. But to show people that "mask" is the goal.

The mask that protects us from the ‘social contract’ of society saying what is & is not acceptable. People like Veytik are deemed different. We live in a society where medication, therapy & mental/physical disorders are “different”. I wear this to represent this and to stand for anyone who has any condition that they may or may not be ashamed of that inhibits them to grow.

And through the music & image, helping destroy these barriers by making them a topic in music besides just love songs.
