The next mixtape comes from the mighty DJ DTEKK, a Polish DJ, promoter and cultural activist, with a meditative mix inspired by the late Angelo Badalamenti. 
DTEKK (aka Jędrzej Dondziło and originally from Białystok in Poland) first stepped behind the decks in 2000. He's known for his relentless techno sets. DTEKK is also the originator and program director of the Up To Date Festival and co-founder of the Technosoul record label. The Up to date festival is a unique event that takes place in Białystok, the heart of north-eastern Poland, and which for over a decade, UTDF has been visited by over 10,000 guests from Poland and abroad.
As true music lovers, UTDF supports independent music and is known for its unique creativity and strong roots in the local community. The festival always welcomes the current needs and trends, at the same time reminding the audience about the most important elements of life. 
A few months ago, the festival introduced Business Techno: The Game, a board game for two to six people in which you trade techno-properties, elements of the T-Corp corporation, and all this to build your own Techno Empire, whose currency is the infamous Techno Coin. The board of Business Techno: The Game covers all the important locations vital to today’s club and festival circuit: Detroit, London, Amsterdam, Ibiza, Berlin, Dubai and, of course, Białystok. Each city hosts a number of business key to the scene: clubs, festivals, institutions or media. Managing them is only one of the steps to success. 
The mix he's prepared for us is heavily inspired by the artistic output of the late Angelo Badalementi and the meditative and therapeutic aspects of certain ambient records. A few tracks from the mix were composed for organs or used similar sounds. Seemingly monotonous and simple, they require more attention to be experienced in full. I grew to appreciate this kind of sound and noticed how deeply it affects me. I believe it also affects others. The "Badalamenti element" in the mix is his music's touching, blissful tone that I always track in other artists' music.

Guiding us into another week of extraordinary expeditions is the DJ, multidisciplinary artist, and LYL radio resident from Estonia based in our hometown; Julia Mira. Inspired by her background in painting, as a DJ she takes up music as her palette. Her selections are utterly unpredictable, layering bold brushstrokes of bass with euphoric rave climaxes and leftfield experimentalism. Approaching each set like a canvas, a blend of sensations is evoked, leaving sensual, imaginative space for lucid dreams, vivid stories, and an air of mystery to arise.

In between her bi-monthly show Mothernism on LYL, her frequent features on RRFM & Future Intel, donning the mantle of playing at the Red Light Radio of Dekmantel 2019 & furiously reheating that feat again two years later at Selectors, you catch a glimpse of why we have come to adore her so much here and you instantly know we have left episode 244 of the series in the most caple of hands. 'In Thy Domain' is a concept album and audio-visual work by British artist @fredmannnn

The 12-track, double-vinyl album is a cinematic voyage tracking the evolution of mankind, key themes of human advancement, technology, life after AI, and beyond.

The album traverses multiple genres - including ambient, electronica, broken-beat techno, and experimental drone - to create an immersive musical experience that mirrors the dynamism of human evolution.

The work aligns with the latest scientific knowledge, drawing inspiration from the tipping points of human civilization and the defining timelines that have shaped our species. The music is complemented by a series of artworks and scrapbook images, visible in the vinyl gatefold, which symbolize each track and its corresponding era.

Many of the tracks feature additional production, synthesizers, flute and clarinet by Chris Taylor (Grizzly Bear / Warp), and additional production and drum programming by Inland (Ed Davenport / Counterchange).

Fred Mann premiered ‘In Thy Domain’ live in Prague, November 2019, alongside Alessandro Cortini for Dietl Archive x Polygon. The album version comes presented on heavyweight double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve designed by the artist himself.

In this collaboration, Radboud Mens and I explore the tension between stasis and movement. Operating within the realm of drone and electroacoustic music, we construct a sonic landscape where sustained tones and microscopic events constantly shape and reshape each other. What initially appears static reveals itself to be rich with detail: tiny acoustic shifts breathe life into apparent stillness, inviting focused and attentive listening.

The album emerged from a process where sound research, improvisation, and sound design merge. Self-built instruments, the search for timbre and texture, and recordings of the learning process itself form the foundation of these compositions. Rather than following a traditional musical structure, the result is a sonic field in which the minimal continually transforms depending on the listener’s perspective. This is a layered and handcrafted album that doesn’t narrate, but questions. Marking A Boundary With The Turning Point is not a boundary. It’s an invitation to listen differently.
