Paradigm Shift

LachrymaL’s "Ruptura Espacial EP" embarks on a methodical futuristic journey with a modern touch creating a dynamic sci-fi narrative with four original tracks that blend intricate, emotive, and peculiar atmospheres. Accompanying this release are acclaimed artists offering their interpretations: Eduardo de la Calle, Elias Garcia, and Salbany. Each artist contribute in their unique ways, crafting cinematic tools that engage in an ongoing conversation with diverse sonic perspectives. In these remixes, the hardware is palpable, with elements from the original tracks interwoven alongside new touches, finding balance through toms and pads delivering a highly personal approach.

As we start the year, we anticipate unpredictable modular resonances spanning ambient, breaks, and solid techno tracks, keeping LachrymaL’s position as one of the figures redefining his voice not as an appearance, but through the message conveyed delicately and subtly through his music.

Our next premiere is from a fresh label coming out of Medellín, Colombia with label head @red_noisedj debuting the inaugural release. With title track 'Medium' we have a chunky hypnotic groover with heavy percussions shifty leads and grimy textures. A super promising release that is sure to be the start of a wonderful project.

AF Premiere: Red Noise - Medium [1024][OUT!!02.12.24]



DIG CURATED the infamous four of this EP in an omnivorous fashion, allowing vinyl
wizard Louis the 4th to take us on a ride of stylistic adventure between old and
new-school techno wickedry.

Olivia Mendez (the curator behind this EP) picked these gems according to the way
she would build her sets; each track corresponding to a distinct part of a blazing
journey. Each track being a different color on a powerful, vibrant palette, attesting to
the versatility of an artist whose emblem is anonymity - remember Detroit? - and
reinvention. The man behind the bandana doesn't shy away from paying homage to
the old school while at times enveloping us into a computerized sound chaos - classy
as it is.

This selection reveals a side of LTF that hasn't been shown before, catching the ears
of a great number of peeps, who could easily find their match here.

Dilatation is a chugging techno zinger, with a groove that feels minimal yet keeps
expanding through punctured breaks and urging synth enveloped into a sustained
air- a kind of tool that mounts the energy to near combustible.

Almost there decompresses space into a light-weight, energy saver atmosphere, that
fleshes out a brand-new compartment in LTF`s music wallet. Threaded through
driving rides and a rhythmic zeal, it wobbles gently between sustain and release.

On the flip side, Kurrikulum Vitae flexes LTS mechanics, with rascal shifts in a
groove that feels simultaneously ancient and totally new, amassing a depth of
textures and tones towards a skanking peak.

999 seals the deal with multilayered distortions enveloped into ghostly undertones
and reverbing crunches, half-step of being a techno-artefact and a dazzling sound
puzzle, made of a loopy melody edging towards poise.

The new chapter of “The Nighttime planet series” formed by various artists. 
Two tracks by the Italian techno bangers: Dez and Tracy. Dez formed epic techno duo in the 90´s called: Random Noize from Napoli, and Tracy is the owner of Sonntag Morgen from Milan. Other track by the Argentinian talent Alderaan (Decay of Reasons-Danza Nativa) one of the most prolific techno artist in Sudamerica  and complete the release with the sound by the veteran Spanish artist David Reina with releases by Axis -  Warm Up, etc..
