1) What inspired you start making CEDM music?

1. So, the thing is that most of my music does not contain lyrics so I would think that it it difficult to differentiate most of it from secular music. However, I am a Christian and I would like to honor God with my music. So I try to create music with positive vibes. It would be amazing if I could find a way to create music that conveys God's love without lyrics. I hope to do that someday. My hope is that when people learn that I am a Christian, they will want to know more about my faith and the sort of God that I have come to know.

2) Who are your favorite musicians?

2. Some of my favorite musicians. There are so many across different genres that I love! 
Here we go: ODESZA (they really inspire a good amount of my music. I love all of the little elements of their music that just takes it to the next level. Plus their songs are always so happy, they are just fun to listen to). 
The Midnight (I just discovered them. Their 80s synth style music is so good!). 
Nujabes (Samurai Champloo would not have been as good without his music. May he rest in beats). 
Owsey (makes some of the most beautiful music I've heard. A Smile from the West is one of my favorite songs). 
Joe Hisaishi (mmm, those Studio Ghibli soundtracks are so good!).
Kozoro (One of my best friends had me listen to A Spring Without You, and I was hooked! It's what got me into electronic music).
Michael Buble (One of my favorite singers. If I could, I would love to be able to sing the sort of stuff he sings).
From Indian Lakes (A great band that I listened to quite a bit during college)
Daft Punk
Favorite Christian Artists (not usually the stuff that you get to hear on the radio unfortunately):
New Empire (An Aussie band. They make some wonderful and unique music. Too bad they disbanded a couple years ago)
Relient K (Ya, they were the first rock bank I really listened to. Mmhmm is still about the best)
Switchfoot (On Fire always gets me)
Chris Rice (He has written some of the most thoughtful songs I have heard. So full of Whimsy and love. "Deep enough to dream in brilliant colors I have never seen").
House of Heroes (a legit rock band that happens to be christian).

3) What is your favorite bible verse and why?

3. Right now, I think my favorite may be John 15:15: " I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you."
I love this verse because it shows that, while it is great and wonderful to be a servant (especially a servant to our God who is a god of Love), it seems that God would like us to be more than just mere servants; in other words, He does not want blind obedience. He wants to be friends with us, to have the free cooperation of understanding friends. Servants just do what they're told and do not know what their masters are doing, but friends serve each other out of mutual love, trust, and understanding. In other words, God does not just desire for us to follow arbitrary laws and to do things to appease him. He would like a deep, intimate, loving relationship with each one of us. You see, God is not the sort of person His enemies have made him out to be, as arbitrary, severe, and unforgiving. Jesus came to reveal the sort of person that God really is and I think this verse is a beautiful explanation of the sort of person God is and the sort of relationship he would like each one of us.

4) Is there anything else you would like to share?

4. God loves you. When we come to know and trust Him as He really is, I think that we will realize that there is no need to be afraid of God, "for the Father Himself loves you" (John 16:27).

Nightbreak

This one has been difficult for me to finish. I'm still not quite satisfied, but I decided that I could probably work on it for a lot longer but still not be satisfied. Also, I need to get better at mixing, haha.
