A downtempo session filled with cosmic chug from Customer Service. 

Based in London, Customer Service is the co-founder of the brilliant record label Control Freak Recordings alongside Finnaman, launching in 2019 as a platform focused on leftfield techno and UK bass. Over the last two years, the pair have released records from the likes of Breaka, Guava, LUXE, Syz, Keplrr, Ayesha, Kincaid and more. Customer Service has also put out a couple of tracks on the label. 

Alongside the label, Customer Service and Finnaman run the London party series Cabin Fever, hosting raves at some of the city’s best underground venues. Bringing in artists from all around the world, they celebrated their third birthday this Summer with a knockout event featuring Anthony Naples, DJ Python and Alexis at Venue MOT. Coming up in the last few months of the year, Cabin Fever will be celebrating the latest Control Freak release from Will Hofbauer and Sangre Voss at The Waiting Room next Friday and in November they team up with Dutch imprint Nous’klaer Audio for a weighty event at The Cause with Bambounou, upsammy, Oceanic and more. To round off 2021, Cabin Fever heads to Corsica Studios with Martyn, Forest Drive West, Al Wootton and LUXE. 

Speaking about the idea behind the mix Will says, “Last time I saw Chanel I was in full party mode, so I wanted to put something a bit weirder together. I can’t really plan mixes but this one ended up being a sub 100 mix of crunchy and cosmic chug.”

Untitled 909 Podcast 086: Customer Service

Hailing from the German capital of musical eclecticism, Düsseldorf, Paul aka DJ4Never was able to integrate himself very quickly into the local Leipzig club scene by founding the Callshop Radio dependence (and by being an all-around top guy). The first location of the online radio was in the premises of the former Possblthings record store, which was already closely connected to our Young Shields crew through various in-store sessions. 
What a nice coincidence.
As a DJ, Paul impresses above all with the aforementioned musical complexity for which his hometown is famous. This is also reflected in his mix for our YSPS, which effortlessly switches between new beat, disco, EBM and electro (it's a total match, as you might notice).
