But things soon calmed down in the palace, order restored to Camelot.
Then that fateful day in Dallas, order died.
Watching grainy film set on repeat, nobody knows what’s what.
We watched little John John and we cried. You’re all safe they told us, but they lied.

Down in Memphis they shot Martin, out in L.A. Bobby too.
Watching all our heroes dying in prime time.
in Chicago they were cracking heads and knee caps, they kept showing us the news.
What were we supposed to do and say? Act like them and look the other way?
Sorry, that’s not happening today! 

Every night we’d watch the footage, bombing kids in Vietnam.
If you watch it long enough, it’ll dull the senses.
They turned the guns on us in Ohio, Nixon dropped another bomb.
This is gonna shape the thing you do. Questioning the things you thought you knew.
Fifty years have passed, it still rings true.
You will either take a stand - or watch Fox News.


Class of '74

The second remix for 'Index' was created by Necro Deathmort.  Despite their name, NDM aren’t an East European death metal group (!) but an English electronic music duo, of whom I am a big fan, so I was very happy when they agreed to do the remix.  It originally appeared as a bonus track on the digital single release of Postcard in 2012.

Lunatic Soul is Mariusz Duda, the talented creator, singer and multi-instrumentalist behind some of the finest and most captivating progressive music coming from Europe, including his output on UK label Kscope and with Poland's shooting stars Riverside. Duda is now releasing his sixth studio album following the long-awaited album Fractured, both recorded at the same time whilst he was facing tragic events in his personal life.

Following on from Fractured, which covered content about grieving, hope and a separated society, Under the Fragmented Sky rebuilds Lunatic Soul as we know it, with dark and haunting atmospheres coming to the forefront. Duda explains "Fractured is not a full picture of the latest Lunatic Soul recordings. These more classical pieces have been waiting for their own time which has now come. "Under the Fragmented Sky" will be both a supplement to "Fractured" and an artistically independent release with its own character and identity.

Under the Fragmented Sky was recorded during the Fractured sessions at Serakos Studio, Warsaw from June 16-17, and finalised December 2017 and February 2018. The final track "Untamed" sees a guest appearance on drums for Wawrzyniec Dramowicz (aka Vaaver), and the album was designed and illustrated by Polish artist Jarek Kubicki.
