Because sometimes the most powerful thing you can do… 
Is give yourself permission to begin. 

MELIZO is my multifaceted musical project born from who I am as a father, partner, working professional, and late-night sound alchemist. I have spent a lifetime gathering the ingredients for my musical journey. More than just a name, MELIZO is a sonic identity, carved out of lived experience, creative restlessness, and the spiritual awakening that comes when silence becomes unbearable and the truth demands a melody.

I was raised on rhythm, curiosity, and an unshakable passion for expression. My relationship with music started early. Whether I was playing instruments in school bands or harmonizing with the world in quiet moments, the seeds of creativity were always there, patiently waiting for me to do something more. As life moved forward, music had to take a backseat to survival, responsibility, and chasing other forms of success. Even so, the ember never died.

Through some of my other creative work with Elizondo Media, I built an unexpected toolkit: design, branding, photography, and sound production. At the time, I didn’t realize it, but every campaign, every composition, every logo, and every beat I tweaked in the background was part of a bigger picture forming. That picture eventually revealed itself as MELIZO.

In 2025, everything shifted. Whether it was divine timing, cosmic alignment, or sheer necessity, the call to create music again became urgent. With a full schedule and limited time, I carved out sacred hours, late-night recording sessions, early morning edits, meditative production blocks that doubled as therapy. I rebuilt my home studio and reconnected with the part of myself that had been whispering for years: it’s time.

MELIZO became a genre-bending fusion of chillwave, electro-soul, affirmation pop, and cosmic poetry. Each song I create feels like a personal spell, crafted with emotional honesty, layered vocals, and beats that pulse with both heartache and resilience.

Much of my first album release ‘Ignite’, were fragments that had lived in my head and my journals for years as melodies born from pain, reflections, and lyrics too stubborn to stay silent. Finally releasing them was more than a creative milestone, it was a spiritual release. For me, creation is liberation.

The most powerful moment didn’t come in the studio either. It came at home, when I heard my kiddos singing along to my songs. This confirmed what I always knew: MELIZO isn’t just about making music. It’s about love and legacy, energy, and being brave enough to turn the past into poetry, lacing it with magical beats, learning to let go, and embracing it all for what it is.

For me, MELIZO is a vessel for storytelling, healing, and empowerment. It’s music that feels like a conversation with the higher self… raw, relatable, and resonant.

Some of my music includes intentional details that aren’t meant to be obvious. Titles, dates, runtimes, and even hidden words in lyrics are placed deliberately. They’re not there to call anyone out publicly or stir drama. They are personal markers, timestamps, and meaning layered into my art.

For most listeners, the songs stand on their own.
For those who notice the details… that’s part of the experience.

It’s less about explaining everything, and more about letting the music reward listeners who really listen and for those who know what they know.
