'French producer Chloe Herry, better known by her stage name CloZee, has spent the better part of the last year on tour between North America and Europe. “Revolution”, her latest pay-what-you-want offering on the Gravitas Music imprint, could be seen as a reflection of those journeys. In some moments, the listener may find themselves deep in a lush forest surrounded by towering trees. Just the next minute, the surroundings morph into an underground venue among sweaty bodies all pulsating to the same beat. Desert Trax is thrilled to bring fans a star-studded remix pack for ”Saraswati's Twerkaba,” the smash lead track from Desert Dwellers' Clear Path compilation, which was originally released in 2016 by Sofa Beats. The exotically innovative original from Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe sees the Desert Dwellers blending their signature downtemple dub sounds with global club flavors. It was inspiration enough to draw in a wide range of remixers amped to take on the task.

French guitarist and glitch sensation CloZee joined forces with LuSiD for an earthy, percussive take. Southern California bass legend David Starfire leaned more into the clubby side of the yoga twerk track. Mindex and Landswitcher both went dark and dangerous on their respective remixes, pulling heavily from the subsonic sampling and fearlessly pushing the track into the cavernous abyss. Patiently building from mild murmur to full on twisted roar, Nanosphere stretches Saraswati into a psy opus. Israeli sensation TRIBONE stripped the cut down all the way to its primal, midtempo stomp, and there is no doubt his take will turn dance floors loose with its relentless pulse.

The “Saraswati's Twerkaba” remix pack features 8 tracks with 40+ minutes of music and is available July 17th on all major sites worldwide.

Drumming and music production have always lived in separate worlds of Morillo’s musical journey. Taking a big step in tethering the two together, Morillo returns to Gravitas Recordings with his latest album, Shades of Green. During quarantine, Morillo prioritized the ability to properly record and incorporate acoustic drums into his production from his Los Angeles studio. From there, he dedicated his energy into tuning and refurbishing his drum kit, acquiring necessary recording gear, and learning engineering skills to translate it into production. The result was a fresh aesthetic diverging from strictly electronic sounds, empowering a live and more human aspect to his music. Shades of Green is a hypnotic, handmade small-batch record that dives deep into organic soundscapes to move listeners spiritually and physically.



“Badmon Sound” plunges into the depths of wicked acoustic territories as sirens apprise their warning. Featuring Evan Hatfield on Sitar, the two whisper deep “Secrets” into the cosmos before Meg Gardner closes the tune with original spoken word poetry. In collaboration with Canadian bass producer PRZM, “Champion Sound” is a lush excursion through funky reggae territories. Los Angeles singer Talia Bentson soon whisks listeners to an ethereal, yet dark “Dreamland.” Ticking clocks precede a royal dubby coronation in “King of Kings.” Title track “Shades of Green'' inhabits a meditative jungle, isolated from the busy metropolis. Featuring Los Angeles producer DanniG, “One$$” delivers fresh soundscapes between dominant bass waves and electrifying drum patterns. Heartfelt and zestful energy in “Rain and Mist” hydrates nature’s spirits, concluding the vibrant album.
