Legendary German techno duo Pan-Pot announce their brand-new project ‘FORTE’, a collection of ten singles. Each track presents individually, each telling their own unique story influenced by the duo’s ever-evolving sound over the years - something that has kept them perpetually current. The culmination also marks a milestone 20th anniversary for the duo, serving as a resounding reminder of why they have been at the forefront of the scene for over two decades.

’FORTE’ meaning strong, translates all the good and bad times we have had, in a way that reflects on our sound. It's a journey of reflection, reinvention, and inspiration from our travels around the world and the people we have met along the way. The tracks emulate the past, present, and future, in a range of styles, but most importantly they are all tracks which we love and enjoy playing. Following her critically-acclaimed single ‘False Prophets’ on OFF Recordings at the start of September, as well as a mammoth remix of Sisko Electrofanatik and Dyno’s ‘Sequence X’, one of the European techno circuit’s most cherished contributors - Simina Grigoriu - returns to her own esteemed Kuukou Records with her brand-new hit ‘Raw Sugar’. 

‘Raw Sugar’ is another impeccable masterclass in trippy, industrial techno from an artist whose growth and creativity are ever-flourishing. Delivering on tight, impactful beats, Simina employs a flurry of ambiguous, twinkling synth elements that give this cut a kaleidoscopic effect. Heavily influenced by her local scene in Berlin, Simina’s output is founded on raw, meditative percussion and euphoric synth-work; conducive to the darkened, intimate club scene that the city is so famous for. 

Romanian-born, Toronto bred Simina Grigoriu has been steadily racking up accolades during her almost fifteen year-long career and now stands as one of techno’s most beloved producers. With an impressive back-catalogue of releases across the scene’s most influential labels as well as a stacked resume of stand-out performances, Grigoriu is primed to enter into the genre’s upper echelons. 

Launched in 2016, Kuukou Records has served as an invaluable platform for the underground community, sharing the authentic perspectives of both established and up-and-coming artists alike. With countless offerings scattered within the imprint’s storied discography, Simina’s Kuukou opuses are fully reflective of the label’s forward-thinking ethos and allow her to present music with unbounded creativity.

We are thrilled to see Tømas Sinn and Subgate unveil their latest mesmerising release - a 4-track techno journey that transcends boundaries with rolling beats and deep electronic soundscapes. 

We embark on a pulsating odyssey with 'Blackout Echo', where the hypnotic beats and futuristic synths transport you to the heart of the electronic universe while rhythm and melody collide into an endless celestial dance and the echoes of the void grow louder. 

Second track on the release is 'Black And White'. The track breathes dark energy, creating an eerie and captivating landscape that keeps the audience on the edge of anticipation, leaving an indelible impression that lingers long after the final beat. 

With third track we dive into the depths of the unknown. 'Resonate' is a sonic experiment that defies the laws of traditional techno, fusing otherworldly sound design with relentless beats. Lose yourself in the interplay of textures that create a harmonious chaos. 

We finish the release with 'Open Your Eyes', that blurs the boundaries between man and machine into a seamless sonic soundscape. This closing track is a testament to the EP’s exploration of the techno genre, leaving you with a sense of wonder and desire to traverse the electronic unknown.

First up, ‘Watch Me Choose You’ launches with a clap-heavy groove shot through with bleeps and squelches, a subtle serpentine acid-line woven among its sturdy drums. It’s a high-intensity, peak-time offering followed by ‘When You Are Near’, another dancefloor bomb which continues with additional bursts of acid sprayed on top of its cavernous kick drums before dropping into a mind-melting frenzy at the halfway mark.
