Daughters of Frank, the DJ and Producer duo comprised of sisters Ruby and Lily London, are hitting up Tapes #71. Behind the decks, the duo will serenade you with the most romantic cuts picked from their expansive genre-spanning catalogue to their own high-energy shimmering productions. 

They bring magical energy to every set packing a mixed bag of electronic, R&B, groove, latin, jazz, house, garage, breaks and a touch of jungle all with soulful and sultry tones. The girls have shared their emotive mix of sounds across various radio stations which includes holding a drive time slot on Peckham's Balamii for over 2 years, and are now hosting a weekly breakfast residency on Rinse FM. The pair also run their club night ‘Club Serenade’ which encapsulates their taste in electronic dance music.

Usually, you’ll hear Ari playing his own music that is way more up-tempo and energy driven — or dance music in it’s broadest shape or forms.

But in the exclusive and rare setting of Nitty Gritty, Ari brought the sounds from his collection that rarely sees daylight (or night time) in his usual sets.

Here is my mix for the Feel My Bicep mixtape series.The mix was recorded in my home bedroom studio in Haggerston, drafted on my technics 1210’s and CDJ’s and then put together in Traktor and Logic Pro for a few tweaks. I have some effects chains I use in Logic for my productions which I love and wanted to utilise in the mix to give an essence of my production throughout, including Vahalia (the best!) plugins and Phat FX filters.
