JARV!S is a local queer DJ with a lust for disco, proggy house and 90s trance.

Known for his high energy and playfulness behind the decks, JARV!S has one goal – and that’s to create the ultimate party atmosphere. 

While everyone else in his home rural town was getting into Nickleback, JARV!S was building his collection of Ministry of Sound compilations which continues to influence his sound today.

Ce mois-ci on écoute la jeune dj Farah pour une session full énergie, rythmée d'influences multiples entre Electro, Break, House ou encore Trance !

- T'es qui meuf ?
Salut ! Moi c’est Farah, j’habite à Lyon depuis quelques années et je viens du Maroc. J'ai intégré la scène lyonnaise depuis un peu plus d’un an grâce aux ateliers mix proposés par Move UR Gambettes au Sucre.
Dans mes sets vous pouvez trouver un peu d’Electro, de la Trance et une petite touche de Bass music.

- Des projets en cours ?
Quelques teufs et quelques podcasts par-ci par-là. En plus d'événements que j'organiserai moi-même en invitant des artistes de la scène nationale qui me plaisent.

- Quelles sont tes influences locales ?
Un peu compliqué de répondre à cette question. La scène lyonnaise est tellement riche en terme de collectifs et de labels, je pense notamment à Everybody Trance ou ATOM.

- Comment est ce que tu aimerais voir évoluer la scène électronique locale ?
Aujourd'hui, je trouve que la scène locale avance dans le bon sens en termes de représentation des femmes et de minorités de genre. J'aimerais qu'on fasse encore plus d'effort dans ce sens tout en intégrant d'autres minorités qu'on ne voit que très rarement dans des événements de musique électronique comme par exemple les jeunes issus de quartiers populaires.

Area3000 is a community favourite that keeps the scene rolling with its online radio station, weekly gig-guide and parties, firmly oriented on supporting the community as a whole. They are never afraid to dive into working alongside different parts of the scene such as 2degrees Festival, Pitch Festival Australia, Revolver Upstairs Club, Midnight Boil, Spinning Around and Love Project with positivity and creativity supporting big and small in Naarm.

What a pleasure this was to do with you Sindy. Your support of our project has meant the world and we were so thrilled for this collaboration to come to fruition. I can’t wait to see what else we will be working on together in the near future!
