The rising Italian A-Tweed debuts in Playground Records with a delightful Ep powered by  mother nature. From volcanic lava to poisonous frogs in the jungle, he gives us a very  complete package of 4 original mixes to which are added 2 high quality remixes from the Frente Bolivarista's head-honcho Pigmalião and the almighty Fabrizio Mammarella.
The trip begins with 'Dendrobates Tinctorius'. Psychedelic percussions and hypnotic humid  rainforest. The sublow pushes us to go further. The darkness surrounds us, some voices  appear in the distance. The coven has begun.
Everything continues with 'Phnom Penh Khave' and his acid modulations. A frenetic  rhythm floods the track and plays with lysergic voices which converts the ride into a  madness. We're here to dance!
The 3rd track in this release is 'OTO0OTO' a.k.a. 'Fake Robot Cumbia'. The tropical flavor  can be smelled it in the air. Some whistles, claps and güiros accompany the main synth flow.  The temperature rises. Weird sounds invade our mind. Now we are all lost in the Fandango.
The last original in this Ep is 'Ropy Pahoehoe Flows'. The kick and the bass melt into an  abrasive modulation like lava in the rocks of an ancient volcano. The things get deep but  groovy. Time to burn.
The first remix in this launch comes from the hand of the Brazilian Pigmalião who  converts 'Phnom Penh Khave' into a powerful and mysterious break. Full of  crazy resonances and clatters this masterpiece invites us to dive deep into a giant bassline  and a very intense groove.
To end this incredible journey we caught up with Fabrizio Mammarella delivering his own  version of 'Ropy Pahoehoe Flows'. An epic ode that mixes outer space synths with organic  percussion. Aborigines fighting with aliens in the middle of the jungle. A narcotic mantra for  lost souls

Being an ever-hungry fanatic for new, quirky and creative ways of musical expression, Andreja Salpe marks his most productive year so far. Next in line for his label, PMG Tanz Digital is another unexpectedly tranquil, but definitely club oriented EP.

'Variation of Dark-Disko is Andreja Salpe's whimsical, yet completely logical sequel to “Egypt Disko” - his collaboration with Veselinov which recently dropped for Quixotical Records. Including a groovy, organic remix by Leonor and a more heavy, industrial remix by Aurum Miles, this dance floor oriented release is a welcome folder in any party lover’s collection.

On the A side we have the original tracks starting with Split Secs – Accept The Answer which is quite the slow burner, easy building up and keeping you in a state of bewilderment with weird synths, sounds and melancholic vocals floating around. When you’re still reminiscing about the first track, Franz Scala decides to up the game with his ‘Overflash’ that contains a kick that makes the walls of every room buzz. His familiar sound can be heard throughout the whole track and will for sure make every dancefloor move. Moving over to the AA side, Split Secs has made an absolute stellar of a remix of Franz Scala unrecognizable but surely not less danceable original. Heavy bassline, dark and dreamy pads and funky percussion alternate each other in this remix which can be described in so many words, but is best to just start listening to. Which is exactly what also should be done to the remix by Franz Scala. Taking the slow burner by Split Secs to another tempo and level by adding his familiar sound but what makes this track so special is the synths that have been perfectly applied and will bring some heat and sweat to the dancefloor.

AchBarei Ma’abada brings a subtly more Oriental vibe while keeping the dutiful style for which we very much like and respect AckerMan. Dancing and energizing melodies, a high number of details and sound design ear-candies completed by high pitched, almost melancholic, melodies make the track a distinct and dark, Dark Disco proposition.

EBZ & AckerMan - Achbarei Ma'abada(Original Mix)

Berlin-East Frisian artist Heindenreich presents his new EP ‘Gitarren im Darkroom’. A carefully crafted sonic journey through the subconscious landscapes of a twisted mind. Loaded with metallic percussion and syncopated rhythms the EP is characterized by mysterious atmospheres, rolling bass lines and beefy beats. On top of these we find obscure vocals provided by Timo Heidenreich himself on ‘Gitarren im Darkroom’ and german-french artist ANGST vor GRETA on “Die Göttliche Bewegung” adding to the tracks phantasmagoric vibes. Dirty guitars and psychotic synth melodies are the main ingredients of this freaked-out recipe, presenting a certainly explosive catchy formula characteristically decorated with Heidenreich’s always present pinches of exotic flavors.
Rounding up the EP this time remixes come in the hands of Tel Aviv’s mighty producer Mishell, and Hanzo, head of Vienna based label Belly Dance Services and half of the duo Hanzo & Yaman.
Mishell delivers a bomb of a remix imprinting his spicy burning signature sound that brings any dancefloor to life .
Hanzo's Divine clouds remix transforms the original into a trip hop inspired psychedelic delirium that takes us through the hypnosis of snake charmer.

Premiere CF: Bojarchük — He, Who Watches [Bonkers Records]

A-Tweed (@antakaatweed) is the moniker of Ant De Oto, Italian dj and producer based in Rome. During the last couple of years Ant has developed a unique musical aesthetic, for which he is very well respected. Blending a considerable number of stylistic influences, his music is a proper voyage around the globe and as the man himself describes it : Acid Weird Slow Disco.

A-Tweed counts releases among a number of labels such as Hard Fist, Playground, SABI, and Electric Shapes.

Following his remix for Andreas Rund [HEAR0050] and a track alongside Fabio Me Llaman Soltero on our annual compilation [HEAR0052], we warmly welcome Ant back to the house.
HEAR0054 is entitled Serena, and has two main reasons to be - aside from being a pure showcase of Ant sound mastercraft - a very special one. Firstly, Serena is a tribute and a homage by Ant to his wife. Secondly, it is A-Tweed’s first released material, especially imagined and conceived as club-oriented for banging the dancefloors all around. Contending basses, neighboring EBM and Disco, the sound proposed by Ant is refreshing and dark, it is a proper demonstration of stimulating dance music.

The release encompasses two original mixes - Serena Wants To Swim With Sharks and Single Track Roads - alongside two remarkable remixes by two very esteemed names of the scene: the Argentinian Balam and the French Cornelius Doctor.

Single Track Roads is signed by Ant’s dark electronics and weird acid vibes, fasten your seatbelt and embark on the only road left. The psychedelic atmosphere, groovy percussion and hardly intelligible vocals complete the darkness distilled by the track.

Javier Celis a.k.a Mverto Futura is a young Guatemalan producer and multi-instrumentalist, who present us the new release of the label, entitled "Denoche Esmejor", a mini album where the journey of this young but great project is reflected, eight exquisite tracks raises the proposal that he has developed to this days, drawing a line between Indie Dance, Nu-Disco and Dark Disco has managed to create a unique sound.

Distorted voices, touches of post-modern acid and Latin electro is a bit of the mix that Mverto Futura has prepared for us, with influences from genres such as Techno, House, & EBM, he creates rich organic bass lines, slick guitar riffs, hypnotic atmospheres, and pretty solid grooves that make this mini album a fine selection for any time of the night.
