This EP is a whole sensory experience in itself. If you close your eyes and let yourself go, a vast desert - as far as the eye can see - will present itself.

The first track, Atacama, is led by a rhythm which takes form in the low frequencies. A few sounds appear, of which the origins are unknown, to mix themselves into this sonic retranscription of a walk in the world's most arid environment.

Mercury then follows, beginning in a contemplative way with deep synth layers, before gradually increasing in intensity through a sequence of hypnotic sounds. Each note is witness to a tumultuous environment.

Biocym's remix takes you even deeper into a realm. Entrancing, almost seductive, this take on Mercury shows you the darker side of the desert.

Tatooine, defined by its pure bass and sprinkled with de-structured and luminous sounds, feels like a musical hush, putting an end to the tornado of emotions experienced until now.

It is a pleasure to introduce you to our next artist on the label, he has been on our radar for a while now and we are very excited to finally have him as part of this project.
From northern borders of the Czech Republic
Kletis [Dominik Knap ]

He lives in the forest where it's always raining.
He try to transforming his life melancholy into sound through the use of field recordings of the surrounding nature focusing mostly on deep music crossing boundaries between genres of techno, ambient, drone and halftime drum and bass.

But for this particular release Dominik wanted to take a different approach where in addition to using natural and organic sounds, he used more analog and modular synthesizers.
Instead of recording the sound of the morning rain, he record the metallic sounds of an empty room inside the abandoned factory, instead of using live recorded percussion, he used modular drums.

His purpose with this EP was to continue resurrecting the Sudetenland sound but this time from a different point of view that he had never used before.
In definitive, he draws a lot of inspiration from the place where he lives.

The closing track and our premiere for today - 'Unleashed Desire' is an energetic deep techno track with a cosmic atmosphere. Its name may come from a powerful synth sequence that slowly grows in the background of classic deep techno bassline just to be unleashed around a mid-way of this journey and take over, ultimately creating a natural dance floor smasher. 
'Voodoo Haze' is set for release on April 8th via Indefinite Pitch.

Crossfade Sounds welcomes South African producer eth_mnd for his label debut with the The Epic of Atrahasis EP. Based in Johannesburg, the rising artist has already made his mark with a release on the legendary Greyscale label, and now brings his atmospheric touch to the Crossfade family.

The EP features three original compositions, beginning with Springs of Alkali, followed by Search Out the Door of Namtara and When Anu Created Heaven (Incantation), a track steeped in hypnotic depth. Adding further dimension to the release, When Anu Created Heaven is reinterpreted by German producer Rheinkalk, who makes a welcome return to the label with his distinctive dub-informed approach.
