Mel7em is a long-time Lebanese pianist and producer who kickstarted his new musical project in 2018. He released singles and EPs on various underground labels such as Dear Deer & Uxoa Dutxa Elite. We welcome him on Art Vibes with his ‘Broken Windows' EP presenting three of his latest productions.

‘Broken Windows', ‘Uncompromising', and ‘The Forgotten Tribe' are proper progressive melodic tracks blending oriental sounds with the power of all-electronic rhythms and grooves. Echoes of airy sounds mingling with stunning eastern melodies, yet remaining familiar to the ears of a contemporary electronic music enthusiast.

Turkish rising stars Lunar Plane gifted this EP with a club-oriented version of ‘Broken Windows'. No need to say this one is going to shake the dance floor this winter. Nacim Gastli's talent has always fascinated our audience and we are excited to have him remix ‘Uncompromising'. This time, he builds up this rework on a powerful trancy vibe. To complete this already eclectic tracklist, John Lead is back on Art Vibes to gift us with his own ethereal interpretation of ‘The Forgotten Tribe'. As always, the Portuguese producer designs the sound on point and the immersion into his alternate version is fascinating.

'For our 34th release on Juicebox Music, we have a 2-track collaborative EP between two fantastic Argentinian producers - Berni Turletti & Matias Chilano, both consistently pushing the progressive space with pure passion. Relatively newer to the scene, Berni Turletti's appearance on Nick Warren's "The Soundgarden" & "Hope Recordings" (through his EP with Dimuth K) as well as Antrim's "Or Two Strangers" cemented his place as a force to be reckoned with. Returning back to Juicebox Music, after his remix of "Monojoke - Backwards", the more veteran Matias Chilano's decade long discography needs no real introduction with standout associations on Tash's "Movement Recordings", "Proton Music" & "Particles". Recently, not one, but two of Matias' remixes went on to feature in Patrice Baumel's GU42 Berlin on mighty Global Underground, a monumental milestone for any.

Berni Turletti & Matias Chilano put their strengths to the table to deliver a balanced combination of their signature sounds in the form of "Alumine" & "Forgettable", filled with solid low-end grooves, soaring leads & spacey atmospherics. Joining the pack as the only remixer is another returning artist from our roster - Anton MAKe, whose remix of Michael A's "Endless Time" was one of the best ways we could close 2018. Anton's equally impressive catalog features an impressive list of associations including Cid Inc & Orsen's "Replug", Mango's "Mango Alley" & Milos' "Balkan Connection" to name a few. Once the bassline arrives all comes together, a powerful brass-like shout introduces rising pads and an arpeggio that gives the track that extra groove. Halfway there is a massive break that seems to keep on rising until finally, the moment arrives where everyone has been waiting for. A massive remix by Frezel!

'Kalil' has a bit more underground feeling to it due a heavy woodblock that rules over the percussions. The ongoing melody grabs a hold on you putting you in a wonderful trance. Echoing noises flow over the deep growling bassline working in perfect harmony with mesmerizing synth plucks. Halfway the bassline starts wobbling taking you further and further into the story that is Kalil. A masterful creation by Frederik indeed!
