We're excited to premiere the very special release "The Sheep" by Goro as part of the "Animals of the Earth" compilation on Cosmovision Records.

A few words about the track:
Sheep figure in many mythologies—such as the Golden Fleece—and major religions, especially the Abrahamic traditions. 

In both ancient and modern religious rituals, sheep are used as sacrificial animals. I chose this animal because I kept growing in the opposite direction where we think if we eat sheep it is one of God's worship, many of them got killed on every holiday and celebration in the middle east. 

What does this mean? Nothing is just another story or method of killing.

The whole compilation will be released on 01/03/2020.

Cheekha Dar, meaning Black Tent, is the Kurdish name given to the highest mountain on the Iraqi/Iranian border. Its peak sits majestically in an area known for shaping the Earth's stories. The tracks on this EP combine sounds from this region, as well as Asia, delivering 2 versions of the title track for day time and night time adventures. The Day version is a sensual flow, perfect for your sunset. The Night version is not only faster but has intense violin parts, working great to light up the dance floor, as it has been tested since last years festival season. The track "Be My Baby" is an emotional story using woodwind, guitar and vocal elements. I will let the music speak for itself.

On remix duties I invited @goro-music (Syria/Netherlands)and Holed Coin (Spain), 2 dear friends with great qualities when it comes to music production and musical taste. I could not be happier to have them on board. Goro takes the Night version of "Cheekha Dar" to a darker edge, while Holed Coin did a remix on "Be My Baby". I'm happy to share all this work with you through Garasadah Records.

We are all the product of our influences. This is a mantra Uone and Western honours on their debut full length ‘The Lone Wranglers’. The ten track release is a bricolage of various media: the pulp fiction of Quentin Tarantino films; the drama of Ennio Morricone scores; the psychedelia of The Doors and Pink Floyd; and a healthy nod to the spectacle of spaghetti westerns.

Uone is veteran of a decade’s worth of international club and festival performances, and over the last 5 years the Australian has been honing his studio skills with impressive precision. His epic 2018 Balance Presents compilation was a sprawling 2CD event featuring his deft production touch across 22 tracks. Western AKA Nick West is an extremely accomplished music professional servicing high profile clients in TV, movies and advertising from his Sydney-based Smith & Western studio. His talents are illuminated throughout with live vintage-sounding keys, introspective guitar recordings and other organic instrumentation.

‘The Lone Wranglers’ sounds like no other, and flourishes of psychedelia and tribal deep house conceals a futuristic interpretation on the classic American frontier. Across the release live guitars and tribal drums envelope the listener, like you are experiencing it in person at the most absorbing concert ever performed. This is by design: every instrument on the album has been recorded live, and weaved into the fabric of many tracks are spoken samples taken from an impressive collection of mediums. It is almost like taking a walk into Uone and Western’s combined subconscious.

The collaboration features artist Natascha Polké, providing hauntingly beautiful whispers and spoken word elements that hypnotise Instantly, luring the listener into another world, like the call of an unknown siren.

The tune is mesmerising and thrilling in its simplicity - a six-minute journey that marries minimalism with distinctively dreamy bell action, creating a gleaming soundscape spacious enough to get lost in. Skillfully tied together by ever-evolving reverb tails, grounding synth sounds and a beat that drives, calmly and steadily, "Siren" is bound to captivate.

The release comes alongside a remix by Audiojack. The duo's version is underpinned by their trademark - a distinctively pumping beat that leaves you no choice but to dance along to. Putting heavy emphasis on stereo spread lo-fi synth effects and exquisite dynamics that leap and fall like roaring waves they've created a version of the song that can carry us away for days.

Siren

Siren feat. Natascha Polké (Audiojack Remix)

There are few artists making seriously great music while not taking themselves too seriously; that difficult feat is one rarely attempted and even less often successfully carried out. Benoit & Sergio have seemingly effortlessly managed to pull off that contradictory trick, producing songs that sometimes seem like musical open letters: editorials narrated in the voices of unidentified, yet totally recognizable colorful characters, read aloud against a backdrop of beautifully lush, warm and sensuous electronic pop music. The unexpected juxtaposition of such pristine production and playful lyricism -- first exhibited on 2009's highly praised <i>What I've Lost</i> EP, which included the brilliantly sardonic single "Full Grown Man"  -- exemplifies why Benoit & Sergio are one of the most unique and interesting outfits in dance music. It's good news, then, that the Washington, D.C./Berlin-based outfit's eagerly expected DFA debut maintains both the charm and expert craftsmanship of its predecessors. 

Single "Boy Trouble" (the titular counterpoint to "Full Grown Man") launches the EP with all manner of reasons to take to the dancefloor: An exigent beat, a beckoning synthline, a bassline of understated funk. Sergio lethargically sings about girls, making note of both their ups and the downsides, without the hindrance of subtlety. "I love girls/With legs like a Ferrari" he states before noting (bemoaning?) the fact that "You need poetry to turn these girls on." It's a song for the best part of the night, full of compulsive rhythms and a climax that builds on sparkly synths. The accompanying remix from Visionquest -- the Detroit-bred, Berlin-based label led by producers Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss and Shaun Reeves -- amps things up, making the beat a more prominent, driving and club banging force. The French artist Hayden F can look back on long DJ career and has been producing music for 7 years.
He was resident in the club La Factory and in the Inox Club and has played at the prestigious Mutek festival in Barcelona in 2020.
His approach is not to pre-defined but the tracks are written in the course of experimenting with sound and energy.
As he says in his own words: „I approach my compositions with care, and a lot of room for experiment. I always look for dualities in my tracks between somber deep power and clarity / positive energy. It defines what I am, and translate the emotions that are part of me and the
world that I am living in. Each instrument is a key piece in the story I tell: it evolves, it is alive, and above all, it is true. I use a lot of LFOs on many parameters, because I need some part of the music to be out of my control, random, sometimes chaotic, as life can be.
I want my music to be constantly evolving without ever losing its vibrant energy. It will be deep, sometimes hard, sometimes emotive, and often both. It will always be sincere and personal.“
His EP for Trapez kicks off with "Abstract Movement" a raw industrial sounding acid tune with no stunts, switching the machines „on and off“ for some stop and go feeling.
"Dynamic Peace" builds on more depth with a composition of melancholic melodies and is made to put some goose skin effect to the dancer on the floor.
José Diogo Correia aka Re:Axis has remixed "Dynamic Peace" and kicked out the melody and made it a massive rhythmic affair relying predominantly on drums with little reference of the original. Instead he plays with the synergy and energy which is generated in between the lines.
