I make heavy music. Pardon my dust, I changed my name and I'm rebranding a little bit.

My influences are breakbeats first and foremost, electro, nuskool, funky, florida, you name it, I love em. But also in writing breaks there is alot of conformation. I approach writing music nowadays with a free hand. If I feel something, or want to do something, I want to write music! not stick it into a breaks tune. I found that throwing out all genre specifications and rules allowed me to write exactly what I want when I want, without concern for if it's club playable or not. 

I have been able to throw in influences from Jazz, from indie rock, pop, classical and whatever, wherever and whenever. And I think it's how I best truly express myself. That's what it's all about in the end isn't it??

Jonathan Grass nasce nell'autunno del 2010 a Cremona, dall'incontro di Elmo, Sante, Jami e Ranca, tutti con esperienze più o meno durature in altre band alle spalle, che si trovano a condividere la passione per il rock alternativo, in particolare per le sonorità tipiche degli anni '90.
Nel giro di pochi mesi, e un paio di concerti nel 2011, iniziano a lavorare su una piccola pubblicazione promozionale con una selezione del repertorio sino ad ora accumulato.
Nasce così "One Shot, One Kill - The Arcipelago Session", un demo di 8 brani registrati in presa diretta in 3 ore scarse sul palco del Circolo Arci "Arcielago" di Cremona, rifinito e mixato presso lo studio "La Maison" del cremonese Fabio "Flex" Guarneri, esperto ingegnere audio, produttore e polistrumentista.
Il demo, gratuito, è stato presentato il 25 Novembre 2011 sul prestigioso palco del Fillmore di Cortemaggiore (PC), in occassione della settima edizione del "Cremonapalloza Rock Fest", dove hanno condiviso il palco con Hijackers On The Hip e Bud Spencer Blues Explosion.


Jonathan Grass was formed in the autumn of 2010 in Cremona by Elmo, Sante, Jami and Ranca, all with previous experiences with other bands, who shared their passion for alternative rock, especially the typical vibe of '90s.
In a few months, and a couple of gigs during 2011, they began to work on a small recording, with a selection of their current repertoire.
They went on to record "One Shot, One Kill - The Arcipelago Session", an 8 tracks long demo, recorded live in about 3 hours on the stage of Circolo Arci "Arcipelago" in Cremona, engineered and mixed at studio "La Maison" by Fabio "Flex" Guarneri, seasoned sound engineer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, also from Cremona.
The demo has been released free of charge on November 25th 2011 on the prestigious stage of the Fillmore club in Cortemaggiore (PC), during the 7th edition of the "Cremonapalloza Rock Fest", sharing the stage with Hijackers On The Hip and Bud Spencer Bules Explosion.
