Clara’s always been the girl everyone’s in love with.
A public secret no-one talks about.

Jake paced around his room for several hundred hours.
Trying to find the words that he could use.
If he could only find the courage to talk... “I’ve been longing to belong to you”.

Oh Clara, you’re a big girl now. You don’t need no approval.
Because ever since I knew you, I’ve known.
That everything about you is all I ever needed.

His bandname’s pretty good, he sure is the main attraction.
He could pick me up in that Chevy anytime.
We’d drive throughout the night and I’d say “I’ve been longing to belong to you.”

How’s a new start gonna change anything at all?
When our teammates are all flawed?
Like watching a timebomb count down.
Now who in their right mind would place a timebomb at the start?

It’s a similar routine. I think we watched too many foreign movies.

It’s a false start and the referee’s blind
Sure, blame it on the gunners’ poor  timing
The play-offs in an amateur game have seen better players paying attention
And mostly ‘cause of better preparation…

The last one to be picked for the team is now on steroids and Red Bull.
Like a madman slinging bull, as entertainment for morons.
I hope that no-one ever judges our team by its audience.
