PONYO is a Berlin based cat-mama-DJ from Istanbul and also the co-founder of capsule berlin, which is a female-led independent streaming platform for DJs and live performers. It was founded as a way to bring DJs and electronic musicians who they found talented but under-appreciated out into the world according to the constraints of the pandemic. PONYO’s graduated from FBM mentorship program last year after years of being in the bass bubble. Her taste is interstellar. Rooted in the bass sounds of the UK, her sets transcend genre trapping with electro bombs, cheeky gabber stompers, and unhinged juke bops sounding right at home alongside classic UK stylings. Her fav bpm is 160 and she doesn’t like happy vibes!
