Truly amazing stuff from one of my favorite artists, Durandal. His work is always extremely sub-heavy and sinister. Rich blends of crushing lows, creepy synths, and a wide variety of atmospheric sounds and vibes. This tune is one of my favorites of his that I've ever heard, which is saying something because a ton of them are very intense and addicting. Outstanding work time and time again, I highly suggest checking out all of his other music, I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do. This track is available for "Free DL" so make sure you add this one to your collection! :)

After 10 years of pushing the envelope of Bass music, Leeds based J.Sparrow launches his own record label "Navy Cut".

"Navy Cut" promises to explore new territory in Sound System music by focusing on quality releases by some of the worlds talented producers.

NC001 introduces a new project between Leo James (Ruckspin, Author, Submotion Orchestra) and Ed Gooden (Quark).

"Speak Back" the A side is very reminiscent of early "Rhythm and Sound" featuring Shanee Pink on vocals.

The B side ventures into a more sound system style Steppas affair featuring moody guitar by Ed Gooden.

To finish off this debut release Egoless; one of Croatia's finest exports completely flips the A side with a lively remix.

Future releases by Navy Cut will feature music by J.Sparrow, Author, RWild and guests.

Melbourne based producer Alex Dickson has been making music since 2011 and made a name for himself with the New Zealand production duo Perverse, releasing on foundational imprint Tempa, Artikal Music UK, Innamind Recordings, Boka & EMI Music.

2016 marked a new era for Alex, with the birth of his solo alias Pugilist and relocating to Melbourne, Australia from Auckland, NZ. 

2017 has been an eventful year for Alex - releasing his debut EP on Fatkidonfire, returning to Artikal Music UK, making a guest appearance on J:Kenzos Rinse FM show and joining the Navy Cut label.

Pugilist is about quality over quantity and is focused on removing genre boundaries and letting the music speak for itself.

Drawing inspiration from Dub, Techno, Jungle and Hip-Hop. And artists such as Rhythm & Sound, Andy Stott. Objekt & Massive Attack, his influences are apparent but he manages to capture a sound of his own.
