Lauren Walton is a talented songwriter, vocalist and DJ hailing from Leeds. She has become a powerhouse within the liquid and deep DNB scene, recently releasing with labels such as UK, Liquicity and more. You can catch her latest release out on Transparent Audio this Friday,

Forbidden Podcast #059 - dotdash Guest Mix

Lynx drops ‘Vault 4’, a milestone release marking fifteen years of Detail Recordings, and tucked inside is something truly special. ‘PTO’, his collaboration with the late Marcus Intalex, finally sees the light after being written back in 2009 during a Manchester studio link up while Lynx was planning his Soul:R album launch.

The pair joked at the time that the tune felt a bit plain, which inspired the title, but hearing it now, it feels beautifully aged and full of character. With the blessing of Marcus’s mum, Pat, ‘PTO’ lands as one of the most meaningful moments on the entire project.

‘Vault 4’ gathers unreleased work from across two decades, rebuilt and remastered for today’s Drum & Bass heads, with extra appearances from Bagshot, Radzta and CutKeyLow.

A heavyweight tribute and a slice of history. Hit play.

This is my entry for the DJ Competition to win a set at the Four Corners Music event taking place at the Crypt in Hastings on 19th of December 2025

I had great fun crafting this mix! The brief gave plenty of scope to move between harder and more soulful sounds at different stages in the journey, which is something I have always enjoyed doing in my sets. 

I came second in the last two DJ competitions that have entered (Intrigue, Mountain Bass) so fingers crossed third time lucky!
