SIX LEAGUES UNDER - * a favour.

You know how I uploaded that one self-insert track awhile back? What if I made FIVE MORE? (Possibly six soon.) But don't worry, my ego isn't THAT close to collapsing under its own weight because none of these are actually for me. (Unless I make that sixth one, in which case I probably won't bother to update this description.) Anyway, this AU is inspired by the wacky bedtime stories my dad used to tell my brothers and me. It centers around one of our cats, who's stuck in the middle of some serious Dark World shenanigans but she literally just wants to eat her favorite food why is this happening. Major roles are taken by my direct family members, other cats, and also an evil clone of one of my brothers made out of LEGO. Don't ask.

My middle brother takes the Mettaton role. (To those of you who have expressed concern: I only have the three siblings.) He's quite the character, all right, and with a reputation for being dramatic and jokes about him having his own TV show he was a shoo-in for this spot. (Well, mostly. For awhile he was swapped with the Papyrus, and that's still the case in the Underswap equivalent of this AU. For THAT AU's tracks...uh, check back next year?) Now, I'm not saying I'm one to pick favorites, but out of my brothers...yeah, this guy's my favorite. He cares a LOT about a LOT, which is why he has the reputation for drama, but I wouldn't have it any other way. He's a lot of fun to be around without being annoying, which is more than I can say for a certain few OTHER brothers of m--[I am silenced by the spirit of Christmas love and cheer] [also that was purely in jest I love you guys too] Anyway, Merry Christmas, buddy. Always remember I love you.

UNDERTALE Yellow. What an amazing experience.

It really says something about the influence and quality of your fangame when gaming news outlets and larger Let's Players who normally would even consider playing fangames for ANY franchise are covering your project en masse. Also, I've come across more Martlet profile pictures in the wild than I can count and it's starting to scare me.

The pacifist final boss and her Japanese aesthetic fit UNDERTALE's world perfectly, what with how much of a Touhou-head Toby Fox is. I still can't believe the devs said that was a coincidence on an art stream -- it worked out perfectly.

This remix served as a way for me to try out a bunch of things I've never really done before. I got my hands on a Shreddage soundfont as well as an amped and unamped Ultimate Guitar Kit SF shortly before production began (this song uses the amped one. The unamped one has been a blast to mess around with, though). Ever since I started making music, I've always wanted to incorporate those really bombastic, orchestral drums you hear in movie trailers into my stuff, but could never find free, one-hit samples that approximated the sound of them... Alas, a few months ago, I was familiarising myself with FL's default sound libraries and discovered the "impulses" folder, and that shit changed EVERYTHING. Half of the orchestral hits in this song are edited impulses, and I think they're excellent substitutes. They make me want to merge without looking. 

There's a lot I feel I could've fixed up here if I spent more time on it. The quality of the spoken dialogue at the start is weird, the "orchestral" strings are weird, and the song changes style a lot in the first half only to stagnate later. But all things considered, I'm happy with how this turned out :)

oh also the intro drum pattern is from Die Batsards from FNF: TGT. just thought i should mention that
