To celebrate May the Fourth, known to many as Star Wars Day, we thought we’d showcase that we’re ultimate true fans by making a myriad of themes for the best character in the franchise! That’s right, Jar Jar Binks takes the role of Napstablook! He’s…pretty unfazed by this change of reality, actually. He doesn’t really care where he is as long as he feels like he’s having fun and helping people…the latter of which he rarely if ever is.

I knew that Jar Jar had to be included in the AU somewhere, because Zeno is the only person I knew in real life who unironically LIKED Jar Jar Binks. Maybe he was just hamming it up for the sake of it, but…it genuinely seemed like Jar Jar might have been his favorite character. I’m not even kidding. I suppose there could be a lot of factors behind it. Jar Jar likely appealed to his clownish sensibilities and tastes, being a bumbling jester who is always the butt of the joke. It could just be a product of nostalgia, since Zeno cared a lot about Star Wars from a young age and enjoyed the prequels for all their flaws. Or, it could be that he was just very contrarian. He liked lots of things that other people hated, and hated lots of things that other people liked. He insisted that Pixar’s “Up” is a bad movie, to which I would respond that he has no right to talk as a Jar Jar fanboy. We would usually agree to disagree at that point. Zeno was confident in being different, and that’s one of the things I loved about him. Then again, I guess you have to grow a tolerance for weird looks eventually when you recreationally drink tall glasses of vinegar on a daily basis. Yes, he really did that.

A person named Aldin takes the role of Napstablook. He's an aggressively antisocial Poké-nerd with a dangerously short temper. Don't get on his bad side, or you just might get something large thrown at you.

This actually uses a song that Aldin wrote himself with this same title!

*Been a bit distracted recently.

Since it's her birthday today, I'd like to give some more info on the Napstablook replacement in Schreibertale.
It's my (Slick's) mom, the amazing vocal coach Melissa Cross!
Some might find it weird that someone's mom is in a group of high school friends, but it is indeed a warranted choice. My house (the "humble little hangout") is a group staple, where she's always happily hosted any number of my friends. She's been like a second mother (and a college recommendation) to Eric, a mentor to Cecil, a friend to Zeno, a boss to Aaron, and a beacon of support to everyone. Not to mention friends of all ages agree that she's an absolute badass beyond compare. So yeah. She replaces Napstablook.

This is based on a melody she wrote herself for this specific purpose, called "Sad Girl." Some other songs using her melodies (including the Ghost Fight and Pathetic House) were going to come out today, but we just couldn't coordinate it in time.

Yep, it's Friday Night Funkin x UT. Had to happen eventually, right? Might as well be us. Some people might not want us making this or think it's stupid that we're doing it, because the game isn't finished and things could change at any moment. That's understandable, but honestly we're just having a fun time doing it, and things will probably change over time to accommodate with the game updating. Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore II, the Betrayed Undyne ending, details an ending in which Frisk ruins their streak of pacifism right before the end, slaying the celebrity robot Mettaton on live television. Toriel has taken her ex-husband Asgore's place after his death, and she struggles to maintain morale in an increasingly wary underground. Humans are to be treated not as enemies, but as friends. At least...in theory.

Not many people were really looking after Napstablook anyway, but those that knew them will tell you that they haven't seen them around in a few years. However, their good friend the Mad Dummy stepped up to take care of the family ranch in their absence. It's not a great life, but it's their life.

[Aftergore II] Songs of Ghosts

*i decided to do an update on an old classic......

Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore III, the Exiled Queen ending, details an ending in which only Undyne and Asgore have been killed. Toriel tried to claim the throne, but threats of a coup quickly sent her back to the Ruins. Now the Underground is in a state of instability and semi-anarchy. Humans are to be treated as...well, it's unclear right now, but it's not good.

Napstablook somewhat keeps their own role. You don't meet them in the Ruins, but you can still find them manning the snail ranch in Waterfall. Every once in a while their cousin even comes to visit, so that keeps their spirits up a little bit. Is that a pun? I guess so.

===== NOTES =====
Napstablook is the Ruins Dummy replacement, and one of Gaster's Followers is the Napstablook replacement. The other Gaster Followers are along for the ride as well. After the tragic demise of Dr. Gaster and Dr. Alphys quit, this Follower moved its way to the Ruins where it would try and convince Alphys to return to the lab some day, if only to carry on Dr. Gaster's legacy.

The Gaster Followers didn't really have a place to stay and Napstablook decided to let the trio crash with them. The Followers have taken up the hobby of making small inventions and contraptions, and they're slowly trying to build their way up to bigger things.

Napstablook, being the fervent composer they are, frequently revisits some of their older work to see how they would handle the concept with their new skills. This particular rendition of Spooktune is one from 201X.

===== NOTES =====
Mettaton's what some people might consider to be a bit of an amateur performer. Despite his best efforts, it's sometimes hard to find the right inspiration. This is a song he wrote for a work-in-progress musical he's been workshopping for a few years now. He's been lost on what direction to take it in, but he knows for certain that he wants it to feature lots of drama, romance and bloodshed.
